SOURCE: Cannot sight in riflescope for elevation, adjustment is maxed out

Try reversing the rings. Move the back one to the front, and the front one to the back. Turn your elevation adjustment, back to -0-, and start again.

SOURCE: bushnell banner elevation maxed out

It sounds as if your Scope rings are out of alignment or the front ring is lower than the rear ring. You may be able raise the bottom of the front ring by inserting a shim under the front ring base.

SOURCE: which knob on the bushnell banner scope will raise

It's a common misconception that you are moving the bullet's impact on the target... the bullet is hitting where the rifle is pointing and you want to get the scope to look at that same spot.
To move the scope's reticle up or down, turn the adjustment on the TOP of the cope in the direction you want the scope to look, so if your shooting low, turn the scope's adjustment in the DOWN direction.
Hope this helps, Mark the Gunsmith

Need vertical cap for bushnell scopechief vi bdl 4x12x40?

I have a Bushnell Scopechief VI 4x12x40 bdc that was missing the vertical elevation dials. I called bushnell and spoke to a woman in the parts department who was able to help me out. She did a quick search of her inventory and stated, "that they had HUNDREDS in stock"! I quickly ordered 2 of each dial ($4.50 each) and 2 of there turret screws ($2.50). Shipping was $4.80. Definitely give them a call and good luck!

My Bushnell Banner rifle scope 3x9x40 ia at max elevation and shoots low The scope is used on a marlin 1894c underlever rifle and attached to a weaver rail how can i fix this problem

you might be able to buy a weaver rail adapter that can change your elevation aswell as lift up your scope a bit just to make it a bit easier to see out of. try something like this maybe http://ant-supplies.co.uk/DovetailtoWeaverAdapters.aspx

What are the adjustment knobs on the windage position for? Is it to adjust sighting or to focus the scope? Why are they not covered like most scopes are

The adj knobs on there are for windage on the right and elevation on the top, if they are not covered, they are turret knobs for target shooting, not for hunting. The focus knob is the rear lens, it spins in and out to fit your eyesight. It usually focus on the crosshairs and the distance for most shooters, some will not be able to get it right because of their eyes. 98% will. Hope this helps.
