Did you use the jumper on motherboard to reset the CMOS? If so, did you move it back to the "mormal" position afterwards?

The beeb you are hearing is a code being sent by the motherboard specifically the chipset on the motherboard. Count the beeps and go to the maufacture web site and look up the BIOS beep code that the manufacture uses. It will tell you what is wrong with the PC motherboard. My guess is obviously a hardware issue possibly the power supply is not working correctly and the motherboard is shutting down to protect itself. Good luck

I have a msi 785gm-p45 motherboard when i boot the computer there is no video on my monitor not even bios shows I'm using the onboard graphics i know it had a graphics card in it before i recieved it...

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/785GM-P45.html#/?div=Manual

Try to download the manual.
Adobe reader is needed, to read the content.

Yes, the bios can be reset, by removing the cmos battery, and inset it again.
But i don`t think that`s the problem.
Try to renew the power supply, and check also the ram modules, by removing them and insert, one at the time, and try to boot again.

Any beeb codes ??

Dell Inspiron 530 won't start, CMOS

Sounds like the CMOS battery is dead. You will find this battery on the mother board. It is a round watch battery, pull it and take it to a store like Walmart to get a proper replacement. I bet if you check your system time, it is wrong too.

Dell e310 won't start after power failure ,orange

First up, don't buy a Dell again unless you like old **** with horrible support.

On Topic

- Did you pull out the keyboard and try another USB port (if it is an USB keyboard), or try another keyboard.
- If that doesn't work try clearing the CMOS (remove power plug, power on (to empty capasitors), either remove the CMOS battery and power on, or find a jumper to reset the CMOS. (since this is a Dell a that might not exist but check the manual).

BIOS password locked

Try to reset the CMOS using CMOS jumper reset. Look this in its manual how to do it.

Or take out the CMOS battery out of its socket then place it back again this should clear CMOS and restore to its default setting. Without the BIOS password.

Still odd warning sound when starting the computer

Reset your CMOS...

If you don't have a Jumper to reset the CMOS, pull out your power cord, open the computer, and pull out the motherboard's battery leaving it out for about a day (Don't plug in the computer's power cord during this time period). About 24 hours later plug the computer's power cord back in and try a boot (Don't put the battery back in to your motherboard at this time).

If this problem persists check manuals to see if there is a method to reset the CMOS by moving a jumper. If there is not such a method available you might have to send the motherboard back to the manufacturer requesting the BIOS ROM chip be replaced. Depending on if you're still under warranty or not you might have to pay a small fee.

If at any time the boot is successful, enter the BIOS and save the default settings. Afterward shut down, pull out the power cord, and place your battery back in to the motherboard.

Hopefully you get it fixed.

How to reset Asus PC-DL Deluxe BIOS

Remove the Lithium Flat Battery from the motherboard, then start the machine. Let it run for about 5-10 seconds and then turn it off and put the battery back in.

Some motherboards when you try to power it up without the battery, will not turn on. Press the power button 2-3 times and then place the battery back in and it should achieve the same results.

COMPAQ pRESARIO s0000 PC

open the side panel and reset the cmos, you can do this easily by removing the battery from the motherboard for 10 mins, make sure that the power cord is removed from the back of the pc first, after this time put the battery back in and see if the machine will power up, if it works you'll have to set the date and time again
let me know how you get on

good luck
