Question about Bosch 24 in. SHY56A05 Stainless Steel Built-In Dishwasher

1 Answer

Looking for a dishwasher!

Hi! We are renovating our home and need all new appliances! I am searching reviews, and specifically was wondering about Bosch dishwashers.  I have seen nothing but good reviews, however, a friend said that the repairs on these are very pricey compared to other brands.  What is your experience on these, frequency of repairs and Kitchen Aides? Thanks SO much! Sue

Hi, your friend is right. Bosch are really good, but parts are really expensive. You will have to be very unlucky to get a Friday afternoon machine. In fact in the UK they ones offer 2 years g'tee parts and labour, but from my experience the worst that can happen is the PCB burning. And that is very expensive to repair. Apart from that, they are extremelly rialable machines. Hope this helps

There is any possibility to get extra funds for house renovations loan for a new house?

As the name suggest, a home renovation loan is basically for the purpose of renovating or remodeling your home. Sometimes, for extending your courtyard or maintaining your house, you need some extra money. You can either lend a renovation loan by mortgaging any asset or just apply for a personal loan for home improvement.
There are three basic steps that you need to focus before applying for a loan:

•Confirm the amount of money you need and the amount of loan you will get
•The loan option that you are getting must match your need
    •Choose the right lender
Instead of keeping your home or any other asset as collateral to get the loan, you can apply for a personal loan. It is better because you have less liability and headache with this kind of loan. Though a personal loan has higher interest rate, it has always proved to be a better option for home renovation purpose.
Get a personal loan for home improvement by following these simple steps:
•Do a comparative study to choose the right lender
•Fill the online application forms in two simple steps
•Get confirmation within 5 minutes and loan disbursal within 72 hours

Where to get idea for kitchen renovation!! Is it right too hire contractors?

I think that one of the biggest benefits of hiring a contractor is the stress it saves. I work a lot and don't have a lot of free time so I almost always hire someone for my home repairs and remodels. It just depends on how much of your own time and effort you're willing to invest.

Need help in renovating homes, Toronto: I am

Ah.. it is a common thing in and around Toronto, of renovating old homes nowadays, but most make sure not to lose the old and classy look of their place. Yes, but it is not that common to find a good team of renovators who makes sure of all the works during the renovation. My aunt did her house renovated couple of months back and it looked fabulous after the renovations. She mentioned that their services too are good. Check out the link: http://www.avonlearenovations.com, and try contacting them. Maybe you can find what you are looking for. All the best :)

WHERE CAN I GET A BOSCH DISHWASHER THAT IS 22'' WIDE

I don't know where you live and please do not say. I reviewed the entire Bosch dishwasher lineup and found 2 machines that were 18 inches. You asked for 22 inches. It appears that Bosch doesn't currently make such a thing. Please have a look here: http://www.bosch-home.com/us/products/dishwashers/dishwashers/custom-panel/list.html

If you are sure they make such a thing, I suggest you click on the Contact Us tab, select At Home and dishwashers where you will find this information:
    Address BSH Home Appliances
    5551 McFadden Ave.
Huntington Beach, CA 92649 Tel 1-800-944-2904 Fax 714-901-5360 Internet blue_arrow.gif Contact us

I think this is the US version - there may be a different link if you are not in the US - Please search within the Bosch web sire for your country for best results.

Thank you for your quesiton today.

Buying a top-loading washing machine - advice needed

You are on the right track looking for a top loader. I am not a repair professional. I am a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. So the machine ID doesn't mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and just happened to see that more than 4,700 people were asking for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer repair of my own and at that time I found an excellent video on youtube which showed me how to take my machine apart. This video (direct drive washer repair) made it possible for me to do my own repair. You probably don't have any idea of the wonderful help you can get from youtube videos. Your first stop should be at youtube. Just search for the help you need. You could search for "clothes dryer repair" or "clothes washer repair" or "dishwasher repair". If you are not able to view and/or download the videos, or after you've seen all you want to see, I suggest you go directly to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good step by step trouble shooting and repair information on washers, dryers. and dishwashers as well as other appliances. Another excellent site is www.acmehowto.com If you have a direct drive top load washer and need help taking it apart these youtube videos are wonderful help. I was so impressed with them that when I saw all these people needing help, I wanted to tell them about the videos. If you look at the back of your top load washer and the panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove, which would indicate you have a v-belt drive) chances are you have a direct drive and this video (direct drive washer repair) is just what you need. After you've seen all the appropiate videos, or if you have a belt drive washer, you will probably still need help in determining what the trouble is and how to fix it. I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair nformation on most washers and dryers, dishwashers and many other household appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. Another excellent site for DIY help is www.acmehowto.com Don't worry about the timer on a washer, they hardly ever go bad. I realize I haven't solved your problem for you, but I hope I have sent you where you can get help to solve the problem. Good luck with it.
