Sounds like the new thermostat and ECO you installed, You may have got them mixed up. The ECO will have a small reset push button in between the 2 spade connectors. The ECO should be second in line, as in power to it comes from the thermostat. Hot (black) line from switch goes to thermostat first, then from opposite spade on thermostat to spade on ECO, then out from ECO to element. Double check wiring or positioning of thermostat and ECO, and correct as needed, and make sure to push reset in center of ECO, then try again. Be sure both are touching up against tank well too.
The thermostat has a little lower temperature setting, and if it fails, ECO takes over and cuts out at a little higher temperature. That's why I suspect they got mixed up, otherwise thermostat (without reset) should have cut power at proper temperature, unless it's faulty, or not touching against tank properly.

Let me know how you make out and what you found.

The relief valve coming out of my hw heater occasionally has a steady drip of hot water after the heater has been running. Drips accumulate in a bucket maybe a gallon/ week. Gas company rep (here for a...

The exspansion tank is more than likly the problem. The temperature/presure valve may also be the problem. Replace both. To replace the exspansion tank turn off the supply water coming into the water heater. Open the relief valve and purge the presure off the tank. drain the water heater slightly below the temperarture/presure valve to replace. The exspansion tanks screws off. Use new teflon taope on the threads when replacing both the exspansion tank and the T&P valve. This work can be compleated by the homwowner with some mecanical inclination.

Water is only getting warm with aquastar 125 bng model. It just started getting warm and not hot. What could be the problem?

Insufficient gas presure. Check gas presure exiting regulator exrternal of water heater. If presure is at 3.7-inches water column gas valve is defective.

Relief valve on my water heater is dripping. Can I fix this?

There are two solutions:

1) Replace TP valve with same temperature/pressure as existing TP valve.
Buy the TP valve at hardware store or home center or plumbing supply.
Turn off water heater so water cools.
Hot water inside a tank is explosive ... so open the TP valve and test water temperature.
If TP is on top of tank, you don't need to drain much water before unscrewing
If TP is on side of tank, use the TP valve to drain water -or- use the drain valve
Unscrew TP to remove.
Put teflon tape on new valve threads so it will seal against leak.

2) If the new TP replacement starts doing the same thing, there may be a thermostat problem -or- thermostat is set too high.
If you keep the water temperature set high, you can add expansion tank to incoming cold water line.
Home Depot sells expansion tanks. Plumbing supply carries them,
The tank for residential water heaters is about same diameter as a football and it goes on cold water line.

I have a 2003 pace arrow motorhome. i can not get any hot water presure. the tank is full and hot. no water flows.

Check by-pass valves at back of tank for wrong positioning. Cold goes in bottom, hot out top and both should be open, and any valves in between should be closed.

Tankless water heater: cold sandwich effect. While showering, hot water stops for about 1 min and then runs again. Was fine for 5 years.

tankless water heaters are a great appliance with one small draw back they require a constant flow of water through them to maintain production of hot water if the water presure fluctuates they can cut out momentarily or if your water supply is less than great ie hard ,high iron,
sulpher ect.. then the heat exchanger can become plugged over time like say 5 years. Contamination of the flow sensor/presure switch could also be a culprit depending on how handy you are a through cleaning with a good kettle descaler will probably help.
Good Luck
