How do i unlock my jvc th-m505 dvd digital theater system?
I'm having trouble ejecting the dvds. Every time I push the eject button the word "locked" appears. Everything else is fine. I can watch all 5 dvds inside. The problem is just ejecting the dvds. I don't have the manual. Please help!

You cannot lock the eject system of this multi CD player. You must be having a jammed mechanism because of dislocation of CD's. Take professional help or else open the top cover and see if there are any loose discs inside. Remove them and try ejecting the system once again. Remember to unplug the power when you open the system.
If you are able to play DVDs with out through then most likely the system is not over heating. So you may have corrrupted data on the hard drive. I would recommend that you backup you save files and go through the steps below to format the hard drive. If you still have trouble they you do actually have a hard ware problem with the system.
I've just received mine today from Argos Clearance Bargains (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/argos-clearancebargains/) and had the same problem. I was already compoisng a strong complaint in my mind. Anyway I tried the reset method. Remove battery; open LCD screen;hold in reset buttona few seconds; reconnect battery; set to "off" and eject .... out popped a very dirty DVD-RW.
When I reinsterted it the problem recurred and I solved it the same way. I have now permenently removed the offending DVD and the cover opens and closes fine. I will buy some fresh DVDs this weekend and see if the problem returns.
Watch this space and also let me know how you get on,
When you hit eject do you hear it attempting to push out the disc? It may be blocked by something. If it is not attempting to push out the disc then something isn't registering with the eject button. In this case, power down the wii, unplug all plugs from the back, wait 90 seconds or so, plug in just the power plug and hit the eject button (before hitting power or anything else). If it still does not try to eject then either the button is broken or the disc drive in the wii has died.
It is still probably under warranty from Nintendo, they can fix it for free for you. If anything, give them a call at:
If you are unable to get the tray of the dvd player open either the player will have a hole in front for you to stick a (I use a straightened out paper clip) into and press in towards the dvd player. It will manually open the drive so you can retrieve your dvd or there will be enough of a lip on the tray door you can grab it and pull it open manually. Then I would try unplugging the player and waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in and you might get lucky and it may never happen again. Good luck . Hope it works.
i put in a DVD yesterday and it got stuck in the machine. no mtter what i did, it wouldn't eject. it just said "No Disc". I read all the posts here and everywhere on the net. none of them worked (Stop +2-5-9), eject right after powering up. So, i called Phillips and the guy told me to unplug the machine and wait at least 5 minutes. then plug it back in, and HOLD the power button down for at least 30 seconds. after about 20 seconds it will flash some stuff on the little screen. keep holding the button. then push eject button. AND IT WORKED. the disc ejected. Now i am going to upgrade the firmware. i let the phillips guy know that they should be embarassed to have sold this unit. i am anxious to see if the firmware upgrade will fix this issue. the download for the firmware can be found at www.philips.com. search for the unit (HTS6500) under support link on top. at least i know now that i can get a disc out if its stuck.
