My Beko AB910S/1 is freezing the food on the bottom two shelves of the fridge. My wife commented it was making more noise than usual the day before this started to occur. ANy common faults?

The coldest part of your fridge is at the bottom. The bottom shelf will freeze before the top. Check the temperature with a thermometer - its should be about 6 degrees. Trying turning the fridge down a little. If this doesn't put things right chances are the thermostat has stuck and needs to be replaced.

BEKO CG964 fridge/freezer - base of fridge flooding with water underneath salad drawers

I had the EXACT same problem. I've just used a wire coat hanger and pushed it through the hole that the plunger couldn't impact and all the water drained out perfectly! Problem solved!

Were is the serial number on my fridge freezer

If it is a BEKO, then on the left wall of the fridge unit (Inside) a third of the way down (A silver sticker).

If this question relates to the recent safety recall issues in the media, please read on.

I'm pasting this response on all queries regarding the recently announced issue with BEKO fridge freezers and the risk of fire from their defrost mechanisms, but I have placed it here in hints and tips too, in the hope it will be of use to any concerned BEKO Fridge owners:

According toseveral sources I have checked, including the London METRO magazine ( http://www.metro.co.uk/news/868330-beko-fridge-freezers-fire-risk-warning-issued-to-homeowners-amid-recall) The MODEL numbers (not serial numbers) affected by the recall are as follows:

From what Ican ascertain, the fridges affected were manufactured between January 2000 andOctober 2006 (So, after shipping and sitting around in shops, you can probablyextend that margin to machines SOLD between 2000 and 2008)

If you go tothe BEKO website, there is a link to check your serial number:

https://refsafety.beko.co.uk/

I have tosay. Regardless of dates and matching serialnumbers, if I had an affected model,I would be checking with BEKO anyway!

Our beko frost free fridge freezer has stopped freezing. The fan is working and the freezer section cold but not cold enough. Thermostat is in the fridge - the fridge is icing up.

the thermostat in the fridge is turning off your compressor before the freezer has completed its job.this is because it doesnt care about the freezer temperature only the temperature where its located in this case the fridge, try completely defrosting the fridge and restarting it
