Tv somes on after few minutes tv goes off, with green led flashing on box receiver
SOURCE: Tv cuts off and green light flashes
If your set was manufactured around July 2005, you may need a firmware upgrade to solve this issue. On the Sony website you can enter your model # and serial # to see if you TV is affected. If so, it is easy to have done and may be free from Sony. It sounds like the issue they described in the writeup on the required formware update. I had mine done within few months of when i bought it (purchased in Dec 2005) and it has been working flawlessly since.
Good luck!

Very possible, but yet, this might be the manufacturer defect power supply which they will fix it for you free;but before we jump to this conclusion, you need to test it first:
-Unplug the power cords.
-Unplug the media video cable from the box to the tv.
-Check all the pins on the video cable are in place as well as the connectors both behind the TV and the media box.
-Reconnect the media box and TV with the video cable(DVI+VGA in one) and have at least a video component hook up to it(ex. dvd player/VCR or comcast box) be sure this video player is turn on and running,at the same time,be sure it is under the right video input.
If you have tried the above steps but still doesn't work, call 1-800-pioneer Tuesday-Thursday at7amPST and address your issue to them.

Contact Pioneer at 1-800-421-1404 about getting an in-home power supply replacement. This is a known issue with some plasma displays. Some of you would experience a loud pop and then the power supply fails. You get a red light below the ON button, when you press on, the red light will turn green for a second and then back to red. The plasma display will not turn on after the power supply fails. Call Pioneer at 1-800-421-1404.

SOURCE: Sony Vega KDF-E5OA10,picture will not come on, tv goes off.
There is a real good chance that the lamp fan is not turning. If you look with a flashlight in the vent on the left side looking at the rear of the set and have someone turn on the unit, see if it spins. if it doesnt, the protect circuit in the tv will not let the set turn on. Replacing the fan will cure the proplem if it is not turning.
Hope this helps,

As you all know this is a very common problem. It is located in the two power boards inside the machine. These media receivers run really hot and the solder on these circuits boards crack, thus losing power when hot. Leave to cool and ok again. To fix you can remove these boards and touch each solder joint with a fine tip soldering iron until it becomes molten then move on to the next joint. Do all the joints, reassemble and presto, you should be back in business. These board are located between the on-off swith and the rear power input. It is a little fiddely, but if you halfway competant, then it shouldn't be a problem. I've done it a couple of times now, so if anybody feels a bit nervous, I'll do it for them for a small fee. contact [email protected]
