Check hookup connections. If you are using the component input (3 wire video green ,blue and red). Be sure both ends are in the correct colors. if switched or not all 3 connected color will be off. Composite video uses only 1 wire ,yellow. See owners manual for hookup explanations.
If you are using the component output from the dvd player (3 wire video) progressive scan connect corresponding cable to tv . Besure to match colors. If you are getting a black and white double image you need to set the output of the dvd player to progressive scan. See owners manual for dvd player to set this. The yelow color jack on the tv is composite video and is not compatible with the 3 wire video .
