Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I turn my record player on it starts to spin and the needle arms lights up . this will last for around five seconds before just stopping. the needle arm will not move either when i use the controls for left and right. any help please?

Check to see if there is a cueing lever that is holding the arm in the up position. If no cueing lever and it has worked recently then something has happened to the changer mechanism. Open the bottom and look to see if there is an obvious problem like something stuck or broken. You may be able to make the mechanism go through its cycle slowly by rotating the platter with your hand so you can see where it is getting stuck.

Push the door to the left this normally engages the door to the mech.it is designed to detach if the door is jammed or too stiff to move.Cleaning of the guide rail and door carrier is usually the cure.this can only be done properly be removing the central cd clamper and control panel assy.
