Please adjust TINT control of Video Settings in Menu that will adjust color tone of TV. I do not think this problem is related with Lamp because TV screen does not have any color blobs or spots. Above solution is for Sony KDF-55WF655 model TV, if your model number is different, let me know. Thanks.
We Cleaned the optic block as was instructed by another post. But now we have a wide ribbon of light yellowish to the right of our screen. Could it be more dust to be removed or now we can see there is more problems then we thought? Over all the screen looks much better. But a far cry from when it was new.
The problem has been solved! Although the 3 yr extened service warrany we purchased through Sears ran out 3 weeks before, to our suprise, sears contacted us and said that Sony was going to fix the set free of charge! The serviceman came today april 14th, and put a whole new projector in the set. He said that if we where to have paid for it, it would have cost us$2119.00 Sometimes miracles do happen.
