Reduced power, sparks and smoke shooting out of the back of the vacuum, strong smokey smell

Sounds like you may have a bad clog in it somewhere , I recommend Taking it apart and cleaning it out . Look to see if anything is wound around the wheel , check the belt . These are all reasons the vaccum could be smoking ect.

My vaccum is smoking help!

The motor has burnt out Cheaper to get a new unit than to have it repaired. Always make sure if you use a bag that you keep the bag clean as it requires free air flow to cool the motor.

Electric short

Remove the electrical cord and check the conituity for a short. If one replace the cord. If no short is found the motor is fried although the switch would have to be on when it smokes so I think you have a bad cord

While starting my vaccum cleaner big noise and stream is coming . it is dead?

No Brand? I think you mean big noise and smoke? Smoke can be from a burning belt or dying motor. If it smells like burning rubber you likely have something jamming the brush roll. Otherwise suspect the bang came from a motor fan. Do not attempt to run. disassemble and inspect

Beaters stop when vaccuming rug...didn't when new

I believe you need to change the belt that drives the brushes. When it gets stretched out, it will just spin on the axle of the motor or spin on the brush and smoke.

Vaccum Cleaner

You can download the manual here and it will tell you how to replace your belt. I could tell you, but I won't have diagrams which the manual does. Let me know if you require more assistance.

Bearings in the vaccum's main brush

Alot of times things get wound up on the brush roll ends and causes friction, the ends will overheat and melt, you just have to replace the brush roll(62365-2) and a new belt (61120A)while you are at it. Also check the slots where the brush sit in to make sure they didn't melt too, if so you would have to replace the base(62577).
