Question about Samsung RF265AA Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator
Was beeping loudly (not the open door ping), then displays went to "o" on the freezer display and "r" on the fridge display. I haven't heard the fridge fan come on - interior lights are working, doesn't appear to be cooling - I do not have the ice or water connected. What do the codes mean? Can I fix it?

SOURCE: freezer temp too high
Air must circulate in the freezer when working properly. I am guessing the recirculating vent in the freezer may be blocked which would not bring warmer air back to the coil to be cooled. As for the door, I theorize there may be too much negative pressure which pulls the door in while you were pulling out ... don't have solution yet.

SOURCE: loud noise from the freezer side
The problem is a buildup of ice on the plastic housing (the curved plastic bit) in the back of the freezer under the fixed shelf where the icetub goes. The fan behind this plastic housing is hitting the ice when the defrost comes on.
Unplug the fridge, unpack the freezer, remove the four screws in the back, take off the sheetmetal backing and let the fridge thaw. You can remove the plastic piece after a while and get the ice off (be careful not to remove the styrofoam insulation by going too quickly).
Reassemble and you're back in business, for a few months. I'm never buying Samsung again myself.

SOURCE: I have a Samsung RF4287HARS.
Pc code is saying there was a momentary power loss. Try resetting the control panel by depressing power frig and power freeze for more than 8 seconds. You may have to unplug the unit for 20 minutes if the compressor it very hot and not starting. You may have to depress power frig and power freeze to reset the units control panel to restart the compressor after the 20 min let the cooling system stabilize period.
If after all of this you still have issues with the lights or the unit is not working properly just repsond here and we will help you.

I have had what sounds like the same problem for over a year with my Samsung RF263 refrig. It makes very loud popping noises like expansion noises when heat hits your house siding or a railroad track. The noises are loud enough that they actually startle people, and our cat. I had a repair man in last May 2013 but no luck.
I finally did a lot of listening, testing, etc. and found the problem. I noticed it would occur whenever the compressor came on. I thought it might be ice build up, so I took the cover plate off over the evaporator in the back of the refrig compartment. There was no ice build up. I then left the cover off and wiring attached and no noise after a day. After a few other trials I added some more weather stripping to increase the distance between the evaporator coils and the cover plate and that help quite a bit but not totally. I still get a pop now and then. Another problem I noticed with this partial solution is that it causes the shelving to not be aligned. A 'V' gap forms between the shelves and they droop a little. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this but haven't had any good ideas yet.
This is a very annoying problem and a design flaw in my opinion. Whether Samsung has a solution for it I don't know but I plan on checking before my warranty runs out.
