WD Quick View Error signature

When I start my PC I get this windows saying WD Quick View encountered a problem and needs to close. When I click for more information about the error another window is telling me Error signature, AppName: wddmstatus.exe AppVer:3.1.7.7 ModName wddmstatus.exe Offset: 0000f9eb and my device is not shown in My Computer window. Any idea how to fix this error and make the device visible?

I am experiencing the same issue (on my mother's computer). However if I run WD Quick View manually via the Start menu it seems to work ok. Do you get this as well?

Your antivirus is detecting the gpiproxy.dll as a "hacktool" or "virus". I suggest that you either uninstall or disable your AV when you reinstall WinDVD. I use Landesk AV and I finally figured out that the AV was not allowing the dll file to register or it was deleting it. So I uninstall Landesk, installed WinDVD and it worked fine. Afterwards I reinstalled Landesk and it still played the DVD fine.

SOURCE: AppName: msfeedssync.exe, AppVer: 8.0.6001.18702, ModName: user32

Antivirus and firewall prevent msfeedssync to connect.

You can use next 3 solutions (hope this help you):
NOTE: Before using ones of the next 3 solutions. You can test disabling your Anti-virus and check if the error occurs, if yes, then disable you firewall. But only for testing, AFTER test enable both AV and FW and select the solution from above that suits you better.

1. Disable the app:
Run CMD
and type: msfeedssync disable

2. Disable automatic update in IE
Internet Options - Content - Content Advisor -
"Sources” “Configuration” and disable “Search..."

3. Configure your Anti-virus and Firewall.
It depend of your software used, for the firewall you need to allow connections for msfeedssync.exe located in, C:\Windows\System32
