- At least, US (region 1) version of LS86 does not have an IR receiver for remote and can not be unlocked using any tools using remote control.- Guest

Apparently this DVD player can't be unlocked with its own remote, But you can still mod it yourself if you have a PDA or similar via sites like www.avforums.com , or you can rent the tools to do it from sites like www.multiregionupgrades.com.
