Apparently this DVD player can't be unlocked with its own remote, But you can still mod it yourself if you have a PDA or similar via sites like www.avforums.com , or you can rent the tools to do it from sites like www.multiregionupgrades.com.

I've burned videos onto DVDs for this player & the DVD says it holds 4.7 GB, but my DVD burning software, ExpressBurn, says that it holds only 4.38 GB, so I cut my videos down to 4.37 GB worth & burned them onto the DVD, after which the software said that they all were burned successfully. However, when I put it into the above player it wouldn't play the last 40 of a total of 220 videos on the DVD. It quit after #180, for some reason. It's done this on other DVDs as well, even tho the videos were burned successfully on my computer. Does this player have an upper limit for the total GB/MB taken up by videos on DVDs? I don't get it. If I don't overburn the DVD, the player should play all the videos on it, seems to me. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
