The USB port for my Canon printer is not being recognized in Win 7

First, I would like to advise you to download free Belarc Advisor which will take a very detailed picture of your system and accessory devices as well as installed software of all types. This will aid you when asking for help:

Belarc Advisor Free Personal PC Audit Version 8 4

It will (for example) tell you of updates to your OS that may be missing and also security updates.

The USB problem can be related to numerous things; driver for the Canon or your board's USB ports, cables (if not wireless) or a dead USB circuit.
Take a look at the list of devices in the device manager and check for any signs of trouble such as red 'X' marked items.

If you have any brand-specific diagnostic software (i.e. Dell, HP etc.) run it to look for problems.

Bookmark this page so you can find it again and reply back via 'comments' if you find something amiss.

All I know is HP advisor is not working. I have done what you told me and it is still not working. I use Windows 7 and Internet Explorer (64) bit and that is not shown on the page.

Go to add/remove software in the control panel and hit the change tab and it will ask if you would like to repair the software. If this does not work go to HP web site go to support and enter your model and re-install HP advisor.

When we send any file to print it is giving load manual feeder error

In most cases if the printer is asking for an unexpected manual feed it is because the paper tray is not set to the right paper size or type. To set the paper size to the most common size and type (letter size plain paper) use the following instructions.

1. Press the Menu button.
2. Press the right arrow key until Paper Menu then press Check Mark.
3. Press the right arrow key until Size/Type then press Check Mark.
4. Press the right arrow key until Tray 1 then press Check Mark.
5. Press the right or left arrow key until Letter then press Check Mark.
6. Press the right or left arrow key until Plain then press Check Mark.
7. Press the back button until Ready is displayed.

This will set up your printer for plain letter paper and should relieve the manual feed error unless your computer is sending other paper size/type settings.

Is it compatibløe with Windows 7?

Hi,
It does not have any Windows 7 drivers on the HP page so some parts may not function. Windows 7 usually discovers and installs most of the drivers automatically however you cannot be quaranteed that everything will run smoothly.
You can check your system with the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
Download it from here:
