Same monitor , same problem.

Turn the monitor off and on till it comes back on , it will come back on. Then , never turn it off or let it go into standby.

Here's the Westinghouse website details and manual for it, mate:

http://www.westinghousedigital.com/detai...
Manual:
http://www.westinghousedigital.com/pdf/1...

20.1" LCD Monitor L2046NV
Optimum (native) Resolution 1400 x 1050
Vertical Frequency 56-76Hz

Sounds like a Refresh Rate problem, check you graphics card settings and try upping the refresh rate to 60 or 75 Hz.
Also, in the manual it shows you the buttons to press to get to the menu containing economy mode.. maybe try adjusting that too..
You probably need to install drivers for your video card or video adapter on your computer. If you have the latest drivers for your video card and you still can not get the speed above 60 Hz, then maybe you need a new and faster video card.

To find out the make and model of you video card, run the "Belarc Advisor"
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html...

Go to the web site for the video card manufacturer and there will be a support are to download the drivers. You will need to know the make and model number of the video card.

Hope this helps

Your power supply board is dead, you know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops or seals first.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Monitor will just go black. Power light will turn green when you turn the unit on and then will flash red and green at the same time and will then turn red.

Good Morning,

The best way to troubleshoot your problem to make sure it's just a monitor problem is to borrow another monitor from a friend for just long enough to connect it to make sure your computer is displaying through its graphics correctly. If you find that it is, then you will know that your monitor has failed in any number of ways (most likely the backlight hardware) and that the best alternative for you will be to replace the monitor.

If your computer will not display on the borrowed monitor, then you'll know that your video card in your computer has failed or that it has other motherboard issues.

Best Regards,

Marcus

Monitor will not turn on? westinghouse model L2046NV black screen will not turn on what should I do?

Do you see an orange light on the monitor anywhere? Usually the light turns green when the monitor comes on, but its orange when in "standby" mode. If your monitor is plugged in and you get an orange light, that usually means that your video card has gone out on your computer. When your video card goes out, the monitor doesn't receive a signal from your computer, so it doesn't know it is suppose to turn on. So if this is the case, you need to replace the video card on your computer

If your monitor doesn't turn on whatsoever, and everything is plugged in correctly, then you need to get a new monitor or send this one back to the manufacturer for a defective replacement.

Hope this helps! :)

Monitor comes on, I can see everything perfect then goes black

"Most" newer monitors will let you know if the are no longer receiving a signal. Sounds like the backlight is burnt out. Try getting a bright (LED works best) flashlight and shining it at the screen at all angles to see if you can see any of what you were doing. If the backlight is on the fritz, either return it on warranty or buy a new one.
