Question about Televison & Video

The volume on my new Proscan 32LB30QD has a constant humming noise. What could be the problem? We are going to get an HDM1 you think that will solve the problem?

1. Turn on T.V.
2. Turn volume to zero.
3. With remote - enter 9876.
4. On the menu that appears on the left side of the screen, arrow down to "Backlight".
5. Press the enter key.
6. Press the right arrow key so that the number moves from 81 to 83.
7. Press the menu button twice. The hum is gone

That humming noise was your color wheel going bad. It is part of the optical engine. I am not sure if you can replace it separately. In any case this is complicated and expensive repair.

TV made humming noise for past few months and after it warmed up the humming would go away. It that same thing today and a pop noise came and the screen will not come on, and the tv shuts off and then...

i took off the back and pulled out the the fan. Then put in a fat screw between a slight gap whick kept the fan from hitting what ever is causing the noise. probably not safe but nothing bad happened yet.

Humming noise & color changes picture flashes from red to green

our 62hm15 had the same problem and it was the dmd fan, which means the whole light engine needs replacing. this was going to cost us $1600. I hope yours is under warranty

We have a 37 inch lcd tv that now hums in the volume and you have to have it on 70- 80 volume tv is only 1 year in half

Hi humming noises in lcd. I have been finding bad capacitors in audio board. I fix alot of these tvs and lately we have gotten a lot in with humming noises.My estimates have been around 225.00
