Maytag MAH20PD washer does not do the High Spin Cycle

Commercial front load washer will not do the final high speed spin. Also the timer counts down incorrectly. ie 10 minutes left in cycle may 20 minutes.

I,m not sure. I think it is just turning. The LED says spin, the tub will start to spin at low RPM like the wash cycle, stop for a second and start to spin again at low RPM. I think its reverseing direction.

does the washer sound like the tub is just turning or does the washer sound like it is going to try and spin and then slows down?

I had this same problem. I replaced the computer and the relay boards without luck. I found it was the FILL VALVES! Apparently when the washer changes cycles it expects water to fill the tub to a certain level. If the valves are not opening and water not filling the tub will cause the computer to just wait and wait and wait and wont advance to the next cycle. I had this on 2 machines, the fill valve fixed BOTH.

With what you have described the problem should be in the door lock unit. there is a check switch that gets pressed down and sends a signal to the computer board telling it that it is locked. if the switch isn't working then that signal will not be sent and the washer will just turn and never enter spin. replace the switch and this will clear up the problem

Frigidaire Gallery washer won't produce final high spin

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

Motor has some shorted windings. Timer switches to higher current for faster rotation and the thermal overload protection shuts the process off as the current is too high because of the shorted windings.

FRIGIDARE FRONT LOAD WASHER,2+YRS OLD ON FINAL HIGH SPEED SPIN MACHINE MAKES LOUD VIBRATION NOISE AND FIND NEED TO SHUT DOWN DUE TO FRANTIC VIBRATION AND NOISE.

It is possible the bearings on the motor that spins the canister could be going bad especially at the high speed. This could also be from clothes getting unbalanced in the final spin cycle. Hope this helps. This could still possibly under warranty!

Wet clothes after final spin cycle

There are two speed (or three) on most washer motors and what happens is that a motor speed will stop functioning--it will wash the clothes, but the high speed will not function. This also could be the controller, but more likely it is centered at the motor. It the motor is functioning, it coulfd be in the transmission of the machine--which may be the problenm since you heard a loud noise. I am not familiar with your machine, there could be an electronic switch for the transmission to go into high speed as well that has gone bad. I wish I had more direct knowledge of your machine.
