connect your printer to your pc and insert the install disc that came with the printer, if you dont have the disc for whatever reason you can go to the hp support website and download the install driver from there
the cd/dvd might have gone bad
try uninstalling and reinstalling the dvd drive frm device manager..... go to device manager and then right click on the dvd drive and click on uninstall and tehn restart the comp

Uninstall everything. Reboot. Unplug the printer. Install the software. Reboot. When everyting is up. Plug in the printer. Have the driver disc ready, install the printer. Reboot, go to settings, printers and see if the printer is listed. If it is, make it the default printer.Good luck
Quicken is one of the "friendlier" applications. Unless your hard drive is full, you don't need to uninstall the older one to install the new one. I suspect the uninstaller has failed. Without more detail, I can't help there. However, Quicken will install the new one and may even attempt to uninstall the old one itself. Regardless, you should be able to just install the new one and have it locate your existing data. Don't just delete the directory as you'll probably delete your data as well.
