SOURCE: pfaff 1222 and pfaff 1229

Have a certified repairman look at the power board in the machine. The power supply circuits are broken on the board itself. Can be repaired with wire and solder. How do I know? Just fixed my wifes 1229 that had the same problem.

P.S. New boards are NOT available from PFAFF or anyone else

SOURCE: Does a manual exist for a Pfaff 1229 sewing

Any sewing machine dealer should be able to order this instruction manual for you. should take about a week to get and cost less than $20.

Where do you oil the PFAFF Synchrotronic 1229?

1229 or majority of PFAFF's needs to be oiled in the bobbin cage and nowhere else.If you start oling the gears lint will build up and slow your machine down. So only apply a few drops where where the bobbin is attached to.
