Question about Kenwood KVT-617DVD Car DVD Player

1 Answer

Nothing works excepts LED/Back lights

This is the second problem I have had with my KVT719 first the screen wasnt working so I sent it off to Kenwood and now the whole thing doesnt work. When I got it back from Kenwood, installed it and it worked. Then I had work done to my car and since then it wont work. The LED light works and when I plug in the face plate the lights flicker and thats it, nothing else. My husband and I are not super savy on electronics and dont want to keep putting money into something that is going to break all the time.... is this an easy fix?

Sounds like a problem with the contact on the back of the face, I had to use velcro to fix mine.

Look for a small hole in the face plate. Put the head of a pen in it for a few seconds and re-set the system. This should work...

Ok are you sure you connected it up exactly as B4? Check it, any Fuses, Connections etc. If ya have,& it's OK, then I would be very cross at the Shop that charged ya $200.00 and it's still faulty... Don't muck around send it, or if possible take it, back and complain long and loud... this is really unacceptable. If you were my customer I would be bending over backwards to help.
