Question about HP PSC 2210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Printer won't start up.

I was printing some pictures and realized I wanted to discontinue printing - I had selected (in error) many, many more than I wished to print. I checked the book and it said to hit "Cancel" on the front of the printer. I did and now I can't get the printer to start up again. I only wanted that job that I had going to cancel - not everything after that! Bette Morreale

Is printing in the stand alone mode or through the cumputer? If it is via the comnputer- then go to Start/Printerand Faxes -double click on th driver right click will bring up the work file - right click on the files to delete and delete In the stand along mode check the manual for 'Reset' or simply switch if off and leave for an hour to see if it self resets.

Hi, What printer are you using? Do you have a user manual for it?
I use an HP Photosmart Pro B8330 printer which I have set up to print in a number of qualities and formats. They appear as four separate HP printers on my computer in addition to the other printers shown there in the drop down menu (interestingly the Bolt PDF printer shown is a most useful free down loadable one from http://www.nchsoftware.com/pdfprinter/ it allows me to print documents and pictures into PDF format).
When I select a picture on my desk top by right clicking it, then select print, I get a window as shown in the attached pictures with a drop down menu which allows me to select the printer I wish to use. Having selected the printer with the format I wish to use I am given quite a number of printing options from full page to 35 pictures per sheet. Most printers come with appropriate software which should give you similar options.

In Excel I have page breaks and wish to hide some pages but when printing the hidden pages print as blank pages and print preview jumps from page before and page after but includes the hidden page num

Don't put anything in blank pages, not even a space, now select the pages those you want to print and print selection.
It must help you out

It will locate all error containing cells, now rectify the error save it reopen in excel to see if problem is solved.

Everytime I try to print something, my windows vista home premium notebook pc wants to save the document as a PDF document INSTEAD of printing to my HP deskjet D2530 what am I to do?

  1. go to "control panel"
  2. select "Devices and Printer"
  3. right click the printer you wish to print to
  4. click "set as default printer"
If this does not help,
try selecting "print as" or "print..."(notice the three dots)
these options should allow you to select the device you wish to print to before printing.
Select the printer you wish to print to in the drop down box at the upper portion of the window and select print

Hope this helps

The print job in the print queue is preventing other print jobs from printing im receiving this error message i have a hp c 4580 printer

If one job isn't printing, cancel it, and let the other one's print. I read somewhere there is a 2GB limit on print spool jobs...and if you reach that limit, everything locks up. I am not sure on it...but if you have a realy large document, either print it alone, well, just print it alone. Try to spool your print jobs from the smallest ones first, and don't overload it. The is especially true of printing pictures...because if you don't resize them, they can be especially large files (and large pictures) sometimes you don't realize that what you are viewing on screen is only 26% of the actual picture size...especially if you have say, a 8MP or higher camera pixel size capability.

I've printed many photos and all worked fine until now. The left side of the picture is cut off and 3/4 inch on the right side is blank on my 4X6 prints. What should I do?

First try cleaning the printer using it's clean up function (most printers have one). Also, you may want to clean the print cartridges and make sure you have not selected a printing range smaller than the area you wish to print.

Printer malfunction

2 possible soultions,

1. The color required to print the text ( ie: black or a variation of ) may have run out and needs to be refilled or replaced.

2. The other way that could help, is to select only the text you wish to print, by highlighting the entire text of the email, and then press and hold Ctrl while you press P to bring up printing shortcut menu and then check the "Print selected only" before attempting to print.

This should give you only the selected text, but if your black or the color required to print is empty, it may appear blank on the page, or show a low ink error.
