No sound from HP DVD Writer 940d
I recently reformated and reloaded XP. Afterwards, no sound from a pre-recorded DVD. I have an ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard. I have sound from the system and can play pre-recorded CD's fine, but not DVD's.

- hp dvd 1140i writer, installed and no sound, called hp and said to uninstall and go through a whole series of back ups and downloads, just ****!!!! should be plug in and go!!!1- otis8209
