Does the water stop if the machine is unplugged from the electrical supply? If so then the fault lies in the pcb or level switch,
If the water continues to flow even after isolating electrically then a faulty solonoid valve is the problem.

Hope this helps- Kitcheneer

Yes, you have to shut off the gas going to the water heater. There should be an inline shutoff around it. Otherwise your going to be leaking a lot of gas which is very dangerous.

The water was shut off for three days and when we got the water back on we have no hot water, is there a reset button?

No but there is a breaker in your power panel. But if the water was shut off and no water was in the tank and power was not shut off to the hot water heater the heating element could be burnt out now.

How to change the water filer on a rf4267hars 25.5 ft

You must shut the water valve to change the water filter. If you don't havewater valve near the fridge, shut the main water valve for few minutes. If you turn the water filter to change without shutting the water valve, lots of water flooring the fridge and you do lots of work to remove the water inside the fridge. Shut the water valve, and then replace the filter. Then turn the water valve.

Water dispenser wont shut-off

Check the solenoid valve is not stuck open. It lets water in, pushing cold water out, and if stuck will not shut off.. It may even have a broken spring, but that is quite unusual

Where is water shut off valve on Rheem Electric Water Heater?

The shut-off is not on the water heater.
The shut-off is usually located on cold water pipe that enters water heater.
See image of shut-off:

If shut-off is not located on cold pipe at water heater, then turn off water to house at water meter.

To clean it, shut off the discharge valve at the water
heater. Then, you shut the valve off of the main water supply. After which, you can start cleaning the single
knob shower cartridge. After the cleaning job, you can
open the discharge valve of the water heater, then, the
valve of the main water supply.

HOTPOINT WD62 FILLS WITH WATER WHEN NOT BEING USED

Hi,

All washing machines have a solenoid valve for turning on and shutting off the water coming in, one for the hot water and one for cold. It sounds like one of them has a slow leak.

Try shutting off the cold water supply to the machine for a day and see if the tub fills with water. Next try shutting off the hot water supply and leaving the cold supply on. This will tell you which valve is leaking.

This solenoid valve is something you can buy from an appliance parts company. In some cases, someone handy may even be able to disassemble it and replace a washer that is leaking.

Until it is repaired, you can get by with shutting off the water supply when you are not using the machine or shutting off the supply that is leaking. For example, if it's the hot water supply valve that is leaking, just shut off the hot and do only cold water washing.
