SOURCE: my treadmill is showing an E1 error code, what

Your problem might be that a magnet has fallen off. Here's an illustrated guide that should make fixing it child's play: http://fixmytreadmill.blogspot.com/2010/10/how-to-fix-treadmill-e1-error.html

Good luck.

SOURCE: new free spirit treadmill - L5 code what does it mean?

Yeah - the sensor is the problem... It is magnetic... You can find it next to the wheel on the belt - It is fairly small.... There is a metal disc in the wheell on the belt that is a magnet.. As it passes by the sensor - the sensor registers the magnet and can simply calculate speed based on the frequency of the passes... Sometimes the sensor slides too far back and ergo can`t register the magnet passing by - Then you get the L5 error...

SOURCE: I've just bought the Reebok Edge 2.2 Treadmill

In order to change the speed increment, you will need to unscrew the front of the console from its housing by undoing the screws at the rear of the console, the front part will then lift off. On the circuit board underneath there is a black slide switch, switch it to whichever setting you want (M or K) and it will read in that measurement.
