I dont have sound card and vga drivers, from where i can download these for free?

Use everest or simillar program to detect the manufacturer of the devices and go to their sites and use support sections.
Other method is to view the model of the motherboard and to download the needed drivers from the official site.

My audio drivers and other drivers are not working/missing

hey,

i had similar problems before...

1. check if you have a sound card installed
1a. you can try, run-> dxdiag, and see if theres any info regarding sound card, like the model number, manufacturer etc.
2. look at the back of your computer case, the blue, green connections, (not the keyboard/mouse pair), if they exist, good. just making sure it's there.
3. open up your computer case to see if you have a sound card installed as part of your motherboard or separately
3a. if the sound card is not part of the motherboard, find the part number on the card and look up the manufacturer's website for the corresponding driver. download it and install it.
3b. if the sound card is part of the motherboard, find the part number of the motherboard, go to the manufacturer's website for driver information, again, download it and install it.
4. you prob need to restart, do what it says.
5. to check if things are good, go back to control panel, device manager, and see if your computer detects anything from your sound card.

hope this helps. :)

I asked for assistance a while back,my problem is somehow I have no sound whatsoever. When I checked there is no sound device listed.I tried as you all said to do a system restore .All I got was"can not...

Hello,

When the computer can not detect any sound card in the hardware manager, the sound card is located on the motherboard probably (on board sound device).
On board sound cards are mounted behind the chassis or plate, while external (pci) sound cards are mounted in an expansion slot (not always available).

See the motherboard connections in the middle (5) and
the expansion slots underneath (6).

For restoring the function of the sound, the matching driver for the motherboards' sound device should be reinstalled.

Reveal the brand and precize model number of the computer, to let me help you finding the correct sound driver.

Cannot find operating system when booting

Could be your harddrive is out of the system. Check its connections first, then have it detected. If not still been detected try changing cables and power plugging(interchange if it can). Other done than maybe failed drive already.

And before I forgot remove any other booting disc, usb, or flash card. Maybe you left one. Or try to lessen your fan usage during fault finding.

If you have the driver try to reinstall it.
if you dont have it identified your mainborad model.
(to identified your mainboar model click start>run and type "dxdiag" without quote.) look at sytem model and system manufacturer.
find the driver on the net or post the driver model here.

if you have graphic card identified the model

My System Windows Xp Cannot read Usb thumb drive

If you insert it on a USB located on motherboard there usually should not be problems, only if you forget to enable in BIOS, USB 2.0 or USB legacy support. If you have a card reader installed, please verify the pin connection required. You can find it in your motherboard manul. USB Legacy is generally required if you want to boot from some USB device and not all motherboards require that to be enabled to recognize and boot from USB devices.

Bye.
