For some reason she now says this when you have FaceTime disabled.

Go to: Settings > General > Restrictions > Flip FaceTime to "ON/OFF

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

When my sister-in-law texts me, the first one is always fine, but the subsequent texts are symbols and gibberish. They look fine on her end. Any suggestions?

If your sister in-law has an iPhone that's probably the culprit right there that's affecting the receipt of her text messages to your Android phone.

1. If she has an iPhone, ask her if her iMessage is on when she texts you. iMessage is only compatible to other iPhones and not other brands she sends to.

2. Is she sending you text messages using the iPhone emoji keyboard? letter accents? or in a different language other than English? this could be the problem when the different cellular carrier interprets the data and sends it to your Android phone that does not have the same compatible software.

Ask her to send you several test text messages in plain text without accents, no special symbols, and no emoji's. If this solved the problem, then you know what went wrong..

If you are still getting garbled text messages even with her iMessages off, and she is just sending you standard text without any symbols, icons, or pictures.. then it could be another issue.. Call your service provider to see what could be wrong.

i would suggest calling on a different phone so that you will be able to troubleshoot the phone in question while talking with Tech Support

in the US, the major cellular companies are:
AT&T Wireless Customer Support: 1-800-331-0500
Sprint Wireless Customer Support: 1-888-211-4727
T-Mobile Wireless Customer Support: 1-877-453-1304
Verizon Wireless Customer Support: 1-800-922-0204

Tip

IPhone texts not sending

Green text messages not sending from iPhone...
this is part of the SMS text service and is activated from within iMessage..
go to settings and select messages
turn iMessage ON and sign in to your Apple ID
this turns SMS texting on so you can now send green text messages from your iPhone...
good luck !

I can't receive nor text message to one person and vice versa. We both have iPhones and this is a recent problem this past week.

First, make sure one of you didn't somehow accidentally block the other person on your phone (Settings > Messages > Blocked)

Second, try doing a hard reset (hold home button and lock button at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen).

If that doesn't work, try turning off iMessage (Settings > Messages) and then turning it back on.

If neither of those options work, it's likely an issue with your cellular provider. Talk to them. You might just need to get a new SIM card.

Why is my phone not showing my recent text messeges

What OS are you operating?

If you open the Settings app on your iPhone, select Messages, and set the iMessage slider to the off position, you will no longer send or receive iMessages on the iPhone. However, depending on your situation, you may end up not receiving text messages from iPhone users. Additionally, if you have multiple Apple devices, the iMessages will still be delivered to your other devices. This is usually not desirable because you want messages sent to your phone number to be delivered to your iPhone.

Cannot send message, iMessage needs to be enabled to send message? Iphone 4S

Every Apple device can send messages to another apple device. This messages are called iMessages.

When you try to send a message to your son's iPhone your iPhone will try to send it via internet using iMessages.

In order to "tell your iPhone" to use regular text messages make sure that your son's cellular number is correctly stored in your contacts. That way if your iMessage fails, your iPhone will send it via regular text message.

You will see the difference between both because the "send" button and contact name will turn green when using regular text messages and blue when you're using iMessages.

I got the new ios8 update and now I can't send

3 things I would try as it's hard to say what is wrong without me seeing your phone. 1st. I would delete your the text message conversation and start a new one with the person you are trying to send to. If that doesn't work, try turning iMessage off under Settings, Messages and then restart your iPhone, then turn iMessage back on and try sending again. Finally you could try going to Settings, General, Reset and "Reset Network Settings". This will mean you will have to reconnect to wifi, etc., but can sometimes help if there is a glitch. Hope one of these ideas can help.

Texts being sent as email

Locate the messages settings in the settings app, then find the iMessage settings, then send and receive and only select the addresses you wish to have for iMessage.
