Question about Toshiba Televison & Video
My TV worked fine last night. I turned it off and this morning I tried to turn it on, and it wouldn't come on at all. I checked the power in-works fine. Checked the cable HD box through cable company- works fine. Can't check the remote, because the Tv won't come on. It sounds like a fuse to me-but what do I know?
It may be a fuse. But something else may have blown the fuse. I would check the circuity of the power supply.

SOURCE: TV will not turn on
Should unplug the unit from the outlet first then after 5 minutes plug it back in,if this does not work it most likely needs service specially if you lost complete power in the house or if it was raining with lightning.

If the standby light is blinking 5 times then repeating, it is likely a problem in your picture tube or related circuitry. Other possibilities include the "Jungle" IC which takes care of the video, chroma and deflection processes and is a bear to replace. Either way, it could be an expensive repair.

SOURCE: Caption on my TV won't turn off
If you are sure the caption is off on the TV then call the cable provider and they will walk you through resetting the set top box. Good Luck

Check first Filament is lighten-up ? If yes then check ABL Voltages, if filament voltages not present check horizontal out put transistor. and check also safty resistances in surrounding area of H OUT Transistor.
And if you are not a tech person then i advise you to please contact any expert nearby, this problem bit technical.
