Drum filling up with water when not in use.....

In short, the machine works fine. However, when a cycle has finished, the drum will still fill up with water, albeit very slowly. So when i'm not using it i have to turn the water off at the valve to prevent the drum from filling up. Anyone got any ideas???? Thanks, RE

Hotpoint WDL520P Washer dryer Filling up with water as it should during the drying phase untill the end of the cycle when it fills up entire drum with water constantly during this cycle it is constant

The other logical point is that it can be related to a faulty output or error from the program controller output. In some cases choosing an alternate program cycle can confirm this case of faulty cycle patterns.

I have a Zanussi WDA1055W washer/dryer. I never

the water should only be filling up to approc 2in above the drum bottom...........look inside when its filling..........if its filling to nearly the bottom of the door you either have a faulty pressure switch or grit/dirt in the internal a result the machine will not spin if there is too much weight in the drum

Washing machine fills with water when not in use.

Either your pressure in the main line bringing water to your machine is insufficient; or your intake water valve is defective; which you can replace easily.

Drum is filling with water after each wash

There is only 2 possibilities for the drum to fill with water after it has finished.
Firstly, if the empty pipe is connected to the sink outlet pipe, the water can syphon back into the washer if the pipe is too low, thereby slowly filling the washer when not in use.
Solution is to lift the outlet pipe higher.than the bottom of the sink.
The other reason is the inlet valve is not shutting off properly.
To prove if this is the case, turn the water off at the valve, if it is hot and cold fill, then turn the hot off only, and wait and see if water comes in over a period of time, if it does not then you need to replace the hot valve.
If water stills comes in with hot turned off, then you need to replace the cold valve.
If cold fill only , turn off cold and wait to see if any water comes in, if it does not, then replace cold valve.
Plz rate my solution.

Washing machine fills with water when not in use.

You have an open solenoid on your water valve where the fill hoses connect. Change the water valve and you should be good.

Drum filling with water

An obstruction in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Good luck !
