Question about HTC G1
I mean connecting by a notebook's internet connection which could be lan or adsl connection and can share the connection by Windows ICS via the notebook's wireless card
If you are looking for your laptop to do web via the phone, this is what you are looking for...
IF you are trying to do Terminal Services or mail clients or non web TCP/IP, there should be some apps coming out soon for general IP stuff...

I think you need a wireless router for that, its about 30 to 70 bux, you can share internet through the router wireless or lan connection. get an N range router DIR-615 its about 60 bux with $20 mail in rebate, very good deal. for internet you just connect your ADSL modem to the router internet slot and your network will have internet access through the router, without needing the laptop or PC turned on all the time. if you decided to buy it, let me know i'll help you set it up :)
