- I think you did not understand my point. My iPhone can connect internet as described in my question without a wireless router, but Gphone not. That is what confuse me.
I think you need a wireless router for that, its about 30 to 70 bux, you can share internet through the router wireless or lan connection. get an N range router DIR-615 its about 60 bux with $20 mail in rebate, very good deal. for internet you just connect your ADSL modem to the router internet slot and your network will have internet access through the router, without needing the laptop or PC turned on all the time. if you decided to buy it, let me know i'll help you set it up :)

- ok, then try to check your wifi connection properties on GPhone:
network type:
internet
Authentication:
WAP or WAP2 or WPA2-PSK
to match your network on the laptop or PC
encryption:
AES or TKIP...etc to matc PC also
Network Key:
automatically provided click it or enter it if you have one.
click the use IEEE 802.1x network access
EAP type :
smart card or certificate
to cross check you need to access wireless network properties on PC or laptop, if you're using a router, then access router using its IP address through the explorer as explained in the manual for the router to make sure it has same settings.
