For my particular problem, which sounds the same as the original poster, but may or may not be; my "picture freezing" problems first began, when I had upgraded to the digital channels. And it's only on the digital channels that these issues occur on.

Picture freezes ONLY when switching to certain DIGITAL channels, e.g. NBA League Pass channels & other 100x series channels (oh yes also on TNT-HD, UHD, etc). It also freezes the Bloomberg Channel.

However, when the channel is changed to a standard channel, e.g. CNBC (Channel 116).

The problem is resolved by toggling back and forth between the digital channel and a "workable channel" (e.g. 116), then the channel is restarted.

Today, I tried the turn off TV & unplug TV solution:

Which further evinces that the problem is related to the culprit, i.e. the DIGITAL cable box or signal.

Are you using the HDMI for video AND audio or just video? Are you using the reciever as the video switcher by routing your devices into the amp and then from the out of the amp to the TV and then back to the amp from the TV HDMI output and the digital output? You may have a loop going on and the amp can't handle it.
If you are coming out of the TV with both HDMI and digital hooked to the same input selection on the amp and have the amp set for auto signal select, it could be throwing the amp for a loop and causing it to freak. From what I can see in the specs for that amp it has 2 HDMI in for connecting a HiDef Sat/Cable box, a DVD or Blu-Ray player or a gaming console, and then 1 output to the TV. HDMI handles both audio and video. Disconnect the digital cable and just use the HDMI for both audio and video.
The optimal set up would be as follows:

With a cable or sat box with HDMI out, go to the HDMI input to the TV. From the TV use either HDMI OR digital to the amp, not both. If you have Blu-Ray or HDMI DVD, connect that to the other HDMI input on the TV.

If the TV has only 1 HDMI input then connect the Cable or Sat box to one of the amp HDMI inputs and the Blu-Ray/DVD to the other and then from the HDMI out to the HDMI in to the TV with NO audio cable from the TV to the amp. Then use the cable remote to change channels.

See if one of those connection maps works for you.

If you need more help, let me know. Include the TV model and the digital audio cable interface type, whether it is optical or coax. It would also help knowing if you are using a Satellite or Cable box and which one it is.

Cheers

Want to use my current speakers with a new surround sound system. Current system is 5.1 channels, rated at 100w per channel @ 8. Ohms. New System is rated 145watts, 5.2 channels at 6 Ohms. Will b ok?

Hi Ronald.
8 Ohm speakers will work just fine as replacements for the
6 ohm speakers. When fitting speakers you need to consider
The power handling capability. The impedance and the frequencies
involved. Power handling is expressed in wattage ie 100W.
Unfortunately this can be expressed in rms, max or peak music. The rms value (root mean square) is the only really relevant figure as this is the continuose handling power at 1 KHz. The impedance
is the resistance that the amp sees but is not a dc resistance and
varies with frequency. The lower the impedance the more power
will be drawn from the amp. In the event of a short circuit across
the speaker the amp will try to deliver infinite power into an infinitly
small load in an infinitesimal amount of time and will self destruct.
Using an 8 Ohm speaker draws less power than a 6 Ohm speaker.
Connecting speakers in parallel; results in the impedance beingreduced. For example two 8 Ohm speakers in parallel will result
in a 4 Ohm impedance load but in series will be 16 Ohms.
Incidentally the the .1 (5.1) is the sub woofer which only has
to handle the bass frequencies, a small percentage of the
amplifiers overall frequency response..
Connect your speakers and then power up the amp last
after double checking there are no shorts on the speaker
cables.
All the very best from Vintie.

This sounds like the either the output transistors breaking down or the electrolytic capacitors on that channel.

Marantz how to connect 6005 amplifier to ipod

There are many solutions, I show two. The tip photo, shows a more expansive one. the lower photo the cheaper one. But both have two tulip plugs on the side for the amplifier and one 3,5 mm stereo telephone plug to the other side.
I tried both on a good stereo set, and could not hear different quality in sound. My guess, the quality comping from my iPods, iPhone and iPad is not the same as from my CD player. On the CD player, a better cable proved to give a better sound.

How to connect speakers logitech z 5500 to the TV Samsung UN32F5500 32-Inch 1080p 60Hz Slim Smart LED

Hello there!
I have seen manuals of both the systems. You have two options to connect Logitech z5500 speakers to Samsung UN32F5500 TV.
1. With Optical Audio Cable.

0daa0bcc-2410-4f3f-9f1b-001ec53d8ec3.jpg

2. Stereo Ear Phone Connection.
Simply plug in Green earphone cable of Logitech Speakers to Green Audio out Jack described on Page 7 of the TV manual. If you are using stereo EP you may not experience 5.1sound separation. And it is also mentioned that you should not use other two audio cables of the tri-EP-cable provided with Logitech speakers.

Have a nice day!

I amnot very familiar with Seeburgs but the trip switch activates at the end of the record playing and THAT mutes the amp. The amp should also be muted until the tone arm lands on the record. So I would suggest the problem is in the amp.
