Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

Mouse come on and dose notthing when i plug it in the usb slot

Geoff: Only Wireless mice require batteries: If your Mouse is directly attached to the computer with a cord to the USB port, go to the Device Control Manager (open Control Panel on the operating system) look for input devices> Keyboard, Mice and other controlling devices: Right click and look at the PRORTIES to see if the hardware is connected and up-to-date. Update the Drivers if you can. If a delta icon with an exclamation mark appears, this means there is connection problem between the mouse/keyboard. If the USB connection works for other devices you plug into the USB port, then the problem is the mouse and not the computer.

If itw wireless check the battery in the mouse i have to replace mine very couple of months. USB mice are plug and play so you dont have to install drivers for them. When you plug it in in the bottom right near your clock it should say it was detected and then installed. If its not working after it has detected and installed it, this is most likely your problem.

How do i connect my hp wireless mouse to the computer

The first step is to install its driver, after taht you can connect the wireless dongle into a free USB port of your computer, then put the batteries inside the mouse and turn it on, in the most of cases, the wireless dongle and mouse sinchronize automatically, if they don't, there's a small botton in both devices press it in each one to synchronize them manually.

Mouse freezes

If it is wireless try putting in some new batteries and moving the receiver to a different USB port. You could also try moving or disabling any other wireless equipment nearby to see if that could be causing it.

If it is a wired mouse try a different USB port, making sure it is plugged in directly rather than into a USB hub, re-installing the driver and rebooting the PC. With more information I could help further.

My plug in mouse for my hp laptop isnt working the red light wont come on and its plugged in

First of all boot to the Bios, think its F2 or Del key on that model..
In the advanced screen, checdk to see that USB controllers are enabled for the mouse.
If they are, try plugging another usb peripheral (usb drive or dongle) into the ports, if they ARE recognised, then issue is with the mouse. If they do not register, then issue is with the USB ports. Possibly a damaged USB controller

Pc not recognizing wireless logitech or usb mouse. I've replaced batteries in the wireless and plugged the usb into every slot available still doesn't work.

If you go into the device manager, look to see if the USB controllers and hubs are detected. Or do they have a yellow warning on them.
When USB ports misbehave for me, I go into the device manager and remove them all and let the machine find them again. Then stuff usually works.
You don't say if you have a desktop or laptop. If you have a desktop, are the USB ports in the front of the machine actually attached to the motherboard?
I'm thinking my first suggestion is the one you should try first.
Then make sure the devices you are installing actually work.
Also, for wireless, be sure you push the "connect" button on the device.

Microsoft wireless mouse 3000; put in new battery, still nothing

nikcorra2488,

try this: plug in the USB key & check for the green light. Then go to start, control panel, & double click mouse (with whatever mouse works). Check the hardware tab and see it the computer is recognizing that the mouse is there. If it is there, it should be working fine. If not, then perhaps you need to reinstall the USB port drivers. Sometimes this will happen when you've upgraded from 1.0 to 2.0 USB ports.

Hope this helps.

Mouse problem MSK-1023

Look at the bottom of the 1023 Microsoft Wireless mouse with the USB part removed.

Toward the bottom of the cavity find a little black switch whose purpose is to turn off the mouse when you reinsert the USB transmitter back into the bottom of the mouse.

Mine had a bit of crud in it which prevented the switch from popping out and turning on the mouse when I removed the USB portion.
