Go to the Makita home page at:
http://www.makitatools.com/en-us/Modules/Home/Default.aspx. Use the search box at the top right to look up your model. It will show it is discontinued but if you select it you will be able to view or download the parts breakdown and owner's manual.

SOURCE: makita concrete saw dpc7321 won't start has fuel

I'm a retired engineer and work PT as a tool tech for an HD rental ctr.

Compression on a new cylinder/piston is 160 psi. When it drops into the 130~140 psi range the saw becomes hard to start. Below 130 the saw will not run properly and at 90 they are toast. This is mainly due to improper fuel/oil mix (must be one bottle of 50:1 synthetic oil per gallon of regular gas. I use 6 bottles to 5 gallons for addition protection). Because this type of tool works in extremely harsh conditions (concrete dust) it is also imperative to keep the air filters clean. Wash the foam pre-filter after each use with plain water from a garden hose and discard after operating 6 times. Toss away (change with new) the paper filter if dust is present or when changing the pre-filter. Also check the carb hose to the cylinder inlet for cracks. My cost to get a cylinder/piston from Makita runs app. $130. When looking into the cylinder, streaks on the exhaust side indicate improper fuel/oil mix. Streaks on the intake indicate dirty air intrusion.

Good Luck.

SOURCE: Ive got a Makita concrete

The manual says to mix it 100:1 if using Makita high performance oil or 50:1 using regular Makita 2 stroke oil. I'd go 50:1 with non Makita oil too.

Here is a site to download a pdf manual if you need it.

SOURCE: Makita concrete saw, no spark, new ignition coil.

Check clearance between the coil and magnet, too far away and magnetic field won't generate.

Makita petrol stone cutter

Start by removing the wire from the cut out switch to rule out a problem with the switch, if still no spark with a new plug it will be a replacement ignition unit.

On the 4112hs stone saw is the ring just a spacer for a blade with a differnt bore size or must it be used regardless

It also gives the cutter support. Using the tool without it could cause vibration and shattering.

Use of a Sait Cut abraise wheel to cut PVC Pipe

I worked at a tool rental business while going to college and became familiar with OSHA requirements as it pertains to construction. There is an old saying that if you follow the rule-book by the letter things will quickly come to a grinding halt. I checked on OSHA web site and could not find anything on you question. I recall that using the correct blade only results in a cleaner cut, however there is the possibility that the pvc material can load-up on the blade and cause jambing. An inspection of the blade will answer this. More important is that all safety items are in place like the blade guard and that all workers in the vicinity of the saw are wearing eye protection. We used Norton brand abrasive blades and the following is their guide. APPLICATION GUIDE:
Concrete:
For concrete/masonry - silicon carbide specification for brick, block, concrete, and other masonry materials.
Metal: For metal/steel - aluminum oxide specification for mild steel, stainless, and metal decking.
Asphalt: For use when cutting mostly asphalt.
Asphalt / Green Concrete: For asphalt and green concrete - silicon carbide in coarse grit range. For high performance, hot pressed wheels provide significantly longer life.
Ductile: For ductile iron and cast iron pipe - formulated with a special blend of silicon carbide (for cutting) and aluminum oxide (for long life). This specification is also suitable for cutting PVC.

Hope this helps, enjoy

Masonry Jointer Usage

While the final effects of a stone or concrete wall are stunning, the work to make it beautiful is time-consuming and difficult. Tools are very important in masonry work. Having the right tools for a certain job make all the difference. Jointers come in many different sizes and shapes. Learn the various types and how to use them and you can make quick work of a difficult task. Use an e-jointer for narrower spaces between the stones. There is no handle on the e-jointer, making it easier to smooth and shape the joints between the stones. Whenever your hand is closer to the surface, you can exert more control. Get a bead jointer for raised masonry bricks. These jointers come in two sizes, 1/4-inch by 5/16-inch and 3/8-inch by 1/2-inch. They are small, strong, simple tools that can chip off the excess of a joint that is sticking up off the brink. You do not want to make a deep joint between raised bricks. Change your joint tool to a brick masonry mortar joint raker tool if you are making your project from rougher materials, such as adobe brick or split stone. This tool has many more grooves, which will fit in various sized joints. Turn it on the end for narrow joints and use the curved notch for more intricate patterns between the stones. Switch to a grapevine mortar jointer for very clean lines between the bricks. This tool is used primarily for a colonial look, which is even and measured. Your can get this jointer with a wooden handle for a more even grip.
