My konica 600 when switching power on boots up then goes back to egg timer, following a cycle doing the same thing but never fully booting up

sounds like the sleep timer is activating before the boot is finished try touching the screen and then switch the timer up or if it networked go to the machine web page and turn the timers up from there then try again

lid switch stops machine from spinning when the lid is open, Make sure the lid is fully closed. Loose screws on the lids right side not holding metal arm properly, or the arm is not positioned properly (the end which is pointed down when the lid is open needs to be slightly farther away from you, towards the back of the machine, to actuate the switch fully: or the lid switch itself which is underneath the top,

As for not booting fully that could be a number of things, maybe you have tried these.......you have power so a reset might not help but still try it, remove battery and ac power hold power button down for 40 seconds. Try running also just on ac and then just on battery. Have you tried to run the machine in safe mode pressing F8 on boot. Even though it could be corrupt data or damaged HD worth trying the simple stuff.

there could be a lot of causes for this but the most common is the print controler is locked up so i would start with turning the mnachine off with the main switch for about 10 seconds most konicas have 2 switches so it has to be the main switch not the sub power then turn it back on and wait for it to boot up then try to print againsome of the older models can take up to 5 minutes to boot up the print controler so dont expect it to be instantly ready

there are two ways ..try them

first :
In order to set a new password do the following:

Make sure you have a console connection to the Foundry device.


Reset the device using the reset button in front or remove and then reinsert the power cable.


Immediately enter b to go to the boot monitor mode at the time of boot up.


Enter no password in boot monitor mode.


Enter boot system flash primary (or secondary).


At the prompt enter the following commands:

FastIron>enable
FastIron# configure terminal
FastIron(config)# enable super-user-password test
FastIron(config)# write memory
Your new password is now "test".

second... only try if first doesnt work
Set the switch to its default configuration. Make a direct connection to the switch’s console port and power cycle the switch. Immediately after powering on, press <Ctrl><u> to access the system file menu. ]Select <D> to delete all user-defined configuration files. Press <Q> to boot the switch.

I'm not sure why you would want your BGE to go above 600 but here goes. Are you using a full load of hardwood lump charcoal (to the top of the fire ring...lump because it burns hotter)? Do you have the draft door and the daisy wheel wide open (may even want to remove the daisy wheel)?

reinstall os.bios should be preset to boot from cd/dvd but if not power on then press delete key or escape key till bios loads-in boot opt. select cd/dvd drive first boot.put os disk in drive and restart when asked to press key to boot from cd do so.follow inst. instructions.after insall detects previous version of xp select repair (r key) and follow inst. should solve startup problem without losing data.if not reinstall os but select leave files intact instead of format or you will lose all files.

Try the following:
1) Remove power cord, battery and hold the power switch down for at least 30 seconds.
2) Remove and reinstall your memory module(s).

If those don't do it, get back to me for more ideas.

I would try the following:
1. Remove the battery completely. If the computer boots properly several times in a row, then the battery may be causing the power supply to do strange things.
2. If you have experience removing laptop components, try removing the hard drive. Because you say the screen goes black (I assume the system powers off) sometimes after the HP logo, I doubt its Windows or a software issue.
3. If HP has a diagnostic CD you can boot to, try that.
4. It may be the power supply acting up. If it charges the battery, and if you can boot to Windows with the battery, try getting a new power supply.
5. Otherwise, it may be the motherboard of the laptop.

a dishwasher has a timer similar to a dryer you need a schematic so you can check the voltages at the heat cycle some times the timer goes out, and rarely the heating element or pump goes out. and make sure when you press start power travels through the button.
