I have a Dell desktop. I forgot the local user/administrator password.
Need to remove or change it. Followed your suggestions in CMD but computer would not give me access to system 32 files??
Followed line by line and the line prior to "mkdir temphack" was typed in....when I hit return it would only repeat this line over and over???

have also tried burning disc with oph.?.?.. program and then booting to this CD which did produce the otherusers password but this is a limited access account so doesn't do me much good. The admin user account password was not be found. This is my own desktop so have complete access to it. Any suggestions???

Once your in command mode, Your window starts like this. C:\> Your in C Drive. Type CD Windows, that puts you in C:\Windows, Type CD System 32, then you have C:\Windows\System 32. then type in your Make Directory. Good Luck.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hack windows

Here are the steps involved to Hack the Window XP Administrator Password .

Go to Start -> Run -> Type in CMD

You will get a command prompt. Enter these commands the way it is given

cd\

cd\ windows\system32

mkdir temphack

copy logon.scr temphack\logon.scr

copy cmd.exe temphack\cmd.exe

del logon.scr

rename cmd.exe logon.scr

exit

Wait its not over read the rest to find out how to Hack the Window XP Administrator Password
A Brief explanation of what you are currently doing here is
Your are nagivating to the windows system Directory where the system files are stored. Next your creating a temporary directory called mkdir. After which you are copying or backing up the logon.scr and cmd.exe files into the mkdir then you are deleting the logon.scr file and renaming cmd.exe file to logon.scr.
So basically you are telling windows is to backup the command program and the screen saver file. Then we edited the settings so when windows loads the screen saver, we will get an unprotected dos prompt without logging in. When this appears enter this command
net user password
Example: If the admin user name is clazh and you want change the password to pass Then type in the following command
net user clazh pass
This will chang the admin password to pass.
Thats it you have sucessfully hacked the Window XP Administrator Password now you can Log in, using the hacked Window XP Administrator Password and do whatever you want to do.
Here are the steps involved to De Hack or restore the Window XP Administrator Password to cover your tracks.

Go to Start -> Run -> Type in CMD

You will get a command prompt. Enter these commands the way it is given

cd\

cd\ windows\system32\temphack

copy logon.scr C:\windows\system32\logon.scr

copy cmd.exe C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

exit

Or simply go to C:\windows\system32\temphack and copy the contents of temphack back into system32 directory click Yes to overwrite the modified files.
I set my admin account to limited user and i cant open it anymore..please help to retrieve this user account.thank you..

i assume you are using Windows XP.
try log off and login as "Administrator", if you remember the password. Try blank password first. if it doesn't show in the list, press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice and type it in.
if no joy, you can download this iso, burn it onto CDR as disk image, not data.
restart and boot from this CD, then you have the chance to change/reset/blank any user's password. but take care not to do other thing. follow the author's instructions.
good luck!

I cant get out of click user name screen in win xp home.there is no user icons. what do i do. restarting comp does not work? its a acer aspire 5000

The reason there is no user icons is the system either only has one user name associated with it or Fast User Switching is turned off. You can try to boot into safe mode and login as Administrator, but that may or may not be password protected as well. Chances are you will have to boot into repair mode and login as admin and try to change the username and password on the system to gain access.

I forgot my password to login to windows XP Pro on my personal laptop. How can I bypass it?

First try is to hold down CTRL + ALT + DEL and try typing in as the user "Administrator" with no password, if this does not work do not worry, it only works on half the systems anyway. Of course the next try is rebooting into safe mode by pressing F8 during the boot but before the windows screen, when it loads up safe mode it actually gives you an administrator option as a login, usually works. The last and third way is to actually use the windows xp operating system disc and boot to it and run a windows repair, suggest talking to a technician if you do this one. Once you get into windows just go to control panel from the start menu and open up user accounts and then access the account that needs the password to be changed and change it.

Bypass administration password or reset.

Dear, try this
switch off the system manually
restart and press F8 after the BIOS checkup
from the menu displayed select Safe mode and wait.
the system may boot to administrator mode. From there try to make necessary changes
It it does not work, go for a re-installation
