Is this invrioionizer safe for people with heart or lung disease

Those devices use a process call IONIZATION to clean the air. What this does is make high voltage that jumps out into the air and attaches to particles in the air. Those particles are now attracted to anything with an opposite charge. In some machines there is a plate that has the opposite charge and a fan that pulls the air into the machine. When particles that are charged come into the machine, they are drawn to that plate and stick. The plate gets dirty pretty fast and has to be cleaned. The problem comes when the ionizer begins to spark. This creates ozone and ozone is harmful to people and animals, rubber and many other things. I looked up the name of the machine that you listed and the closest I can find is a really old reference to a radio shack device. the Environizer™ (630-0612/630-0613) This device was made just after regulation by the federal government that says 50 parts per billion is the limit so that device SHOULD be ok. However it has to be maintained and cared for. There is a great article here:http://www.allergyclean.com/problems-with-ozone-generators-and-ionizers-that-produce-ozone/
Just keep in mind the difference between ozone generators and air ionizers, they are not the same thing. If you need more info let me know.

Fresh air is making a popping sound

Carefully examine the plate. If there are black burnt spots next to the wire, it needs to be replaced. Otherwise, cleaning it will stop the popping sound.

No matter how much I clean the machine after it is turned on for 10 min or more it starts to buzz and make a static noise, any other suggestions?

The buzzing noise is not from dust in the air purifier, it's from the dust and pollutants in the air, it's now picking up. It should stop once the air is cleaned.

Blueaire 501 dust caked up on wires and fan,how do you take it apart to clean it?

Hi, I have had the same problem and have figured out how to open it.

To open your blueair air purifier, follow the steps below;
1. Get a phillips head screwdriver,
2. Open the unit and remove the air filters.
3. Use the phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that you can see.
4. After taking out the screws, remove the "galvanizedSwedish steel housing"
(cream coloured sides) of the purifier by lifting it upwards (i.e. from bottom to top of unit).
4. You will now have access to the interior of the purifier.
5. You can now take out the fan and clean it, or what ever part you are trying to clean. I used a Dyson HEPA vacuum cleaner.
6. To reassemble, reverse the instructions above to reassemble the purifier.

Cleaning the top of the oreck air purifier

what i normally do, is i take off the top of the and remove the filter, the metal dust catcher, and the back filter... i was the 2 filters and rub them down. then with the metal dust catcher i take a butter knife. wrap it in a clorox wipe (making sure that no metal is exposed to scratch) then i feed it through the metal dust catcher one at a time to clean it. It took me 5 wipes to clean the whole thing. when the wipe comes out black then i rotate it. As for the top of the machine. there are 2 screws that i removed to get to the fan. when they were out i used a can of air (like you would clean a computer with) and blew out the fan... it took care of all noise and it runs just like the day i got it.

How to Clean The Unit

There is a screw on the bottom of the unit. When you remove it, the whole insides can be slid out. Then just blow the dust off with canned air. Wal la, you're done!

Honeywell HFD 135 FAN BLADES DIRTY

I used a can of compressed air to clean my fan blades and this did the job. I bought a 6-pack of 3M Dust Remover at Sams Club to save money. Hope this helps.

Ionic pro won't turn on

Solution, perhaps...

All electrical contacts can get a film on them. Try cleaning the contacts (at the bottom of the blade unit; you should see the three with the blades out) with an alcohol swab (make sure the contacts are dry before reassembly in this case) or a pencil eraser (vacuum the debris out before attempting to start it again).

If those contacts don't make up properly, the unit will think it needs cleaning, even though it doesn't.
