Do you have video software installed ? Real Player, Jet Audio, Windows Media Player .......etc

make sure you have them and if you're trying to play a move, look at the extension ( Name.WMV) .WMV is for windows media video, which works on windows media player. you have to have the right program to play the video you want depending on the extension.

I have Jet Audio, its a very good program that can play many types of movies. you just go to preferences ---> file type associations ---> then check all and it will play almost any video or audio file you have. without needing to download all other software. One For All

Choppy Video? What do you mean choppy video? Is the video starting and stopping rather than playing continuous? If so, either you need more memory or the site you are watching the video from is slow. Also sometimes you line speed on the computer might be slow if you are watching the video online.

How does the video play if you played a DvD in your computer? If it plays the DvD without stalling, then your problem is more than like the site you are watching or the line speed as you stream the video.

Cant watch at higher rate. you tube keeps stopping

If you can't watch at a higher rate it means that your internet connection is not fast enough to buffer/load all the information contained in the video quickly enough to play it in a smooth fashion. Use 240p or 360p, this will reduce the amount of time taken to buffer/load the video.

Another approach would be to consider the purchase of a faster internet connection, or may be if you are using a wireless connection, connect your computer/laptop to your router via an ethernet cable when wanting to watch videos. Ethernet cable would be faster especially over long distances.

Take care!

How can i turn off subtitles on tv joy, i have tried evrything as per the manual Regards Mike

Is this on your television or your computer?

If on your tv - are you watching TV or a movie? If you are watching a movie, it should depend on what movie you are watching. If you are watching television, it is on your television. Hit menu, and look for closed captioning, and turn it off. What model of TV are you using?

If you are watching tv on your computer, what program are you using? Sometimes subtitles are Hardsubs, which means you cant turn them off. It depends where you got the video files from.
