SOURCE: My bissell Powerbrush cleaner quit working. The

found it from Tara put online in nov 2008 Thanks this is it

Had the same problem... although I don't have particularly hard water, the heater block corroded just enough to stop most of the flow after about 4 years. Disassemble the handle to get at the heater block (3 pairs of screws/bolts), remove the tubes with needle nose pliers, use a paper clip to knock out the corrosion on the front tube on the heater block, flush with a syringe to get rid of any other bits of corrosion (some extra plastic tubing connected to the back tube of the heater block helps here, and catch the water from the front tube to prevent water in the electronics...), reassemble (avoid disconnecting any wires...) and try it out. Worked for me! I REALLY have to thank the person who suggested this fix! THANKS!!!

I used regular pliers , phillips screwdriver , the pointed end of a compass and a turkey baster full of water to blast it out . You have to improvise . Take your time watch the little rubbers on the heater make sure its not hot . It was just the inlet gets pluged up in the heater . You have to take off the tools then its the bottom set of plastic not the handle . You can test by pushing the plunger at the top . You must take the handle off . Loosen the pieces it just came off for me then snaps back on . This is all it was for me , very simple . I am disabled and did it on a extra old carpet a little at a time over a few hours . For someone healthy its a hour job tops or less . Just be patient . God helps those who help themeslves and asks for patience .

Bisseell petwash powerbrush how to get the return dirty water container clean.

This has always been an issue with this make of cleaner. You can rinse it out and then leave the lid off to dry and that eliminates odors from mold and bacteria. IF you really want to clean it you need to get small brushes like a tooth brush etc and scrub it out.

I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x advance carpet cleaner . It stop sucking up water. How can I fix it?

First check your filters. The Customer User Guide says to clean them after each use. There's two: The Water Tank Cap filter (looks like a screen) remove it, clean and reinstall, and the Flow Indicator: Turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise and remove. Remove the rotor and under it is the filter. Remove, clean and reinstall in reverse order. If that didn't do it call Bissell Consumer Care at -1-800-237-7691 Hope that helps.

I have bissell cleaner 8920 it will not release the cleaning fluid and water

Please check the following with liquid in both tanks.

- Check to see if the machine will spray through the hose with the setting on tools. If it does, the pump is fine. Continue troubleshooting.

- Check for debris on spray tips. Clean them with a soft brush (on old tooth brush works well). The spray tips may be lifted out for easier access.

- Ensure the tank lid is properly attached to the bottom of the tank. To attach this properly, remove the Water Tank from the machine. Hook the front window onto the lip of the bottom container and then allow the window with lid to cover the complete tank. Secure the latch on the back of the bottom tank to the back of the tank lid. THE TANK LID CANNOT BE ATTACHED PROPERLY IF THE BOTTOM TANK IS ALREADY INSTALLED IN THE MACHINE.
- Check the bottom of the Water Tank and the Formula Tank to make sure each has a red auto-load gasket attached. Make sure the Water Tank and the Formula Tank are seated properly. Depress the x on this gasket to ensure this depresses and release back out. Liquid from the tank should dispense.

- Remove the handle completely and re-attach. Once the handle is re-attached, re-attempt to spray.

If the machine continues to not spray, check the following:

REMOVE THE COLLECTION TANK:
• Make sure the unit is set to water rinse
• Remove the smart mix bottle and fill it with water only
• Place the smart mix bottle into the collection tank reservoir
• Run the unit and try to spray. If the machine sprays, you will be able to see the water level decreasing in the smart mix bottle and you will need to replace the bottom tank. It is possibly warped.

The water and shampoowon't come out but it cames

This model is famous for burning up the silinoid switch that allows the water to come out the bottom to clean the floors. That will need to be replaced, but my recommendations is to take this model back and bet your money back. It is engineered bad!

Whare does the dirty water go in the bissel 12 amp pro heat carpet cleaner

the clean water goes into a "Bladder Bag" that is located inside the tank. The way it is designed to work, as the clean water dispenses from the bladder bag, the outer part around the bladder bag fills with the dirty water. It never touches the clean water. Seems wierd, but it works! I hope this helps, if it does, please give feedback, as it helps me to gain ratings. Thank you! Remember to have your cleaners serviced every year by a qualified tech! Bissell Carpet Cleaner pro heat- water doesnt come out

The screw that is located in the center of the handle, that holds the assecory hose holder must be tight. My screw was missing, put one in and cured the problem. Sounds stupid but it worked. Got this idea off the Bissell web site. Also if you have a pump belt it may need replacing. The cover is on the side of the machine. Go to the Bissell web site and look up by your model # and name of machine. There are several quick fixes that you can do yourself. Why pay for expensive repairs when the Bissell site will help you for free. Good luck.
