Speakers aren't emitting sound

The fuses are on the power board at the bottom of the unit. Fuses 901, 902 and 903 are for the left, right and sub speakers. The service manual is here, remember to unplug it from the supply. Page 62 shows PWB C1. The speaker terminals was the answer to your original question.

My Sharp XL-HP500 CD Shelf System turns on, but shuts off immediately.

No! you have short in the system, remove speaker wires from back and plug headphones in, if okay it means there is a short in the speaker wire or speaker, if no change the audio output ic's should be suspect.

I have a sharp tv with the volume at its highest but i can't hear anything

Hello
Check its speaker first. If voice coil of the speaker or tis cone paper has damaged, speaker will produce a dull low sound output. If the speaker is found OK, check the audio output section of the unit. This section circuits can be located inside the TV circuit board. look for any loose or bad soldering terminals at the audio output IC. It is best to resolder all the suspected solder points by applying a little more solder, withut making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals. If this also does not help you, replace the audio output IC. It is damaged. OK.

The horn works but not the 15" you can hear the

Hi, problem can be solved. The problem can be from two places,

From the speaker and,
also the cross over.

I might be from the speaker if the wire connected from the cross over inside the speaker has cut or has removed.,it can make the speaker (15),not to make any sound..

The cross over might also be the fault too. The cross over is located inside the speaker and it makes the 15 speaker makes sound..
'There are capacitors on the crossover that control and makes the 15 speaker make sound. If the capacitor gets damaged it can make the sound stop. Also you will need to check the fuse inside the speaker, you will find the fuse on the cross over of the speaker.

Troubleshoot the above, and problem solved,...

Hope that helped..

Thanks fro using fixya.....

No sound whatever

when you switch the unit on make sure that you hear two clicks, this will tell you whether the protection relay is working. Should you hear the two clicks this will indicate that the audio ic`s are working. There are fuses inside the main component box, four on the transformer. Let me know the outcome
