Check that you have power on the generator side of the circuit breaker, check each leg to neutral and you shoudl see 120V approx. If you still only see it on one side you have a bad stator. if you see it on both legs measure across them L1 L2 and you should have 240V, then check again on the receptacle side of the breaker, if you don't have it you need a new breaker

Did you check 30 amp power outlet fuse? Also, check the power outlet relay, the fuse won't go hot unless the relay is energized.

1998 komfort 5th wheel electical problem

i am not certin that i have ever encountered a situation that has 2 outside power input plugs, the situation is that your trailer is wired for a 50 amp service, this service has a plug that has 4 connection points and is set up for a 220 volt supply, the only reason for this situation is that some one modified the power input to your trailer , the solution is to eliminate one of the 30 amp power supply connections and in the fuse panel bridge the 2 hot side supply rails, or better yet restore the power connection to the 50 amp service cable and purchase a 50 amp to 30 amp power adapter cable

Need hook up diargam for 240 volt 30 amp washer dryer residential xyo-gnd recepticals.now for free .like your web site said. or i will presume this is just a scam trying to lure people in for some...

Hi Watsonelecco!

No scams here... most of us on FixYa are like me.... we enjoy helping people out with their everyday problems. I work nights and do this as a hobby... I used to teach advanced electronics and Radar for the US Navy.
It is difficult for me to give you a diagram for "xyo-gnd" since the term is not familiar to me, even though I worked as an industrial field service engineer. My guess is that you need to connect your washer/dryer to your electrical outlet.
First thing.... I need to know where you are located, and what type of power service you have coming into your home. Most US homes are wired for 115 Volts and require a separate input for 230 volt appliances. Most European, Australian, and Asian homes are wired for 230 volts and connecting your washer/dryer will be simpler, but still require some work.
The first thing we will need to know is how the power comes into your home and how it is distributed. Look at your circuit breaker panel. You will have a mains coming in that feeds a 2 pole "main" breaker- it will be rated at between 100 and 300 AMPS in most homes.
Next... the other breakers in the panel.... how many are "2 pole" breakers (what looks like 2 switches connected together) and how many are single pole? Only a 2 pole breaker can supply power for your washer/dryer.
Now, you need to determine which of the two pole breakers are rated high enough for 30 amp service. If none say 30 amps or higher, you will need to install a new breaker and run a 10/3 AWG type UF cable to where you are installing the washer/dryer. Find a recepticle that matches your washer/dryer plugs, and install it with the black wire to the brass lug, the white wire to the silver one, and the green wire to the green lug.
Once you have the wiring done, you will be good to go!
If you already have a dual breaker rated at 30 amps supplying an outlet where you are installing the washer/dryer, match up the plugs/outlets the same way... black wire to brass, white to silver, green to ground. You may have to purchase either the correct outlet, or (more likely) the correct plug, since most units do not ship with power cords.

I'm wanting to install a combination outlet/switch device. Both will work off the same circuit but be independent of each other. I want the light to work from the switch, with the outlet constantly hot. ...

How many sets of wires are coming into the box?
If the box is in the middle of the circuit you will have a power-source black & white wire coming in and a power-source black & white wire going out. And in this case for the switch - there must be a black and a white wire going to a light.

Typically with a switch/outlet combination all the white wires will splice together with a white pig-tail wire to feed the neutral side of the device. The two black wires from the power-source will splice together with a black pig-tail and feed the hot-side of the device. The black wire going to the light will go on one side of the switch.

Looking at outlet/switch device from the front the large slot side of the outlet will be the neutral side and the smaller outlet slot will be the hot side. The neutral side screws will be steel colored and the hot side screws will be brass colored. The white wires will go to the neutral side steel colored screws, and the black wires will go on the hot side brass colored screws on the outlet.

The black wire comig into the box from the light is called a switchleg and goes to a brass screw on one side of the switch. The brass screw on the otherside of the switch will be for the black wire coming from the power-source.

Hope this helps - and please:

The poser outlets have a 20 or 30 amp fuse for them. You will prbably find them in you Power Distribution box under the hood. As for the steering wheel lights, could bee a loose plug in..

Refrigerator no power

Plug some other device into these same outlets or use a volt meter to verify power at the outlet.
You definitely have a house wire problem if the interior light does not come on and the bulb is good.
Also check 120 volts power at the fridge cord where it attaches to the terminal box.

Wireing an a/c plug to a samsung DV316LES dryer I have Black, White, and Red wires coming out of the dryer. the plug I purchased came with Black, White, and Solid Green wires. I am sure it goes color to...

unless you have an a/c outlet close to your dryer the you wont be able to use an a/c cord. also the cord for an a/c i usually rated for 20 amps and your dryer needs to have a 30 amp circuit.
i would not suggest using this cord as it will overheat and probably cause a fire in your house.
if you think the cord can handle 30 amps, then you need to make sure you hook up red and black to the power sides, white to the neutral and green to ground.
seriously, just go back and get a dryer cord that will match the outlet that is close to your dryer.
draw a picture of what the outlet looks like, ie: the position and angle of the plug slots and go back to the hardware store and find the right cord.
it will work properly and be safe to use.
