Have suction but belt not moving

Are you referring to the drive belt on the power head? Remove the power head and try vacuum without it, if it picks up fine, the problem in in the power head/hose assembly, could have a blockage inside the head of the hoses attached to the head. If those are all OK, look for an air leak in the system. at/around the bag, canister, loose clamps, etc.

POWER HEAD DOES NOT WORK

Hi, I have one of these. There are 2 possible reasons. 1. The fuse blew....in your manual you will see that on the power head is a button...press it is with an object like a paper clip. It resets the power head. 2. There is thread tangled in the brushes, keeping it from moving.
Make sure all is connected properly.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

The brush control is designed to switch the brush bar off automatically when you stand the machine back into the upright position. It is designed this way to protect any delicate floor surfaces when you have the machine switched on and upright and when you are using the hose.

If the brush control should be in the centre position and move forward to the "on" position when you release the head. If it is not doing this, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards
Darran
