Nordine mgbb limit switch trips after blower comes on

I'm guessing that is the "mgbb" is short-hand
for a real number...

The SHORT-HAND answer is that TOP END limit switches
trip because things have gotten hotter than the design intent...

(or ... unlikely that switch is bad).

More likely... the switch that should have turned on the blower (sooner) is not turning on the blower soon enough to dissipate the heat from the exchanger (into the desired area)...

Some of the OLDER VERSION switches are adjustable...
I don't know about NORDYNE (see below, part type).

If you don't mind the risk of electrocution try to start the blower motor sooner... to see if you can avoid the high-temp situation I BELIEVE is causing your grief.

ELSE...
JUST replace the blower motor sensor...
If I'm wrong you have a SPARE sensor you always wanted anyway

How do I light the pilot on my InterTherm MGBB 070 furnace? I have tried holding in the pilot switch but have had no success in getting the pilot lit.

Just to make sure you are trying to light the pilot, from the gas valve follow the small diameter pipe (1/8") to the pilot assembly. Where you should be placing your flame is above that point. Now with the gas valve knob turned to the Pilot marking, depress the know into the gas valve. Light the pilot. Check to see if it is lit and remain holding the knob in for 30 to 45 seconds. If the flame goes out as soon as you let out the knob, you will need to replace the thermocouple.
