same problem on mine - suddenly no light at all on the touchpad, fridge getting power, haven't heard compressor come on yet but just noted the problem in the last hour. Did you find your problem yet/??
i see no make and model # for your unit for i would check the internet for service manual, if the unit works when you power the solenoid manually than there is a censor or driver output transistor to the solenoid is defective and you will require a manual to service this problem, this problem location is on the control board or censor input to the board
The most likely cause is the green water solenoid behind the fridge. Take an ohm meter and test across the two terminals and it should NOT ohm out(beep). If it does not ohm out I would replace the P.C. Board kit, emitter & receiver icemaker control. You can buy the P. C. boards and a new water inlet valve kit with new quick connections at www.repairclinic.com or www.appliancepartspros.com Both sites are very helpful and most likely have these parts in stock.
you have a bad control board in the rear of the unit ...>>>>> To verify this check for 13.5 vdc on red and black going into the display board?? since your dispenser is not working the control board is most likely not working. puill the refrig from the wall and remove the cover plate it is square about 5"X6" you will see the control board thew part # for this is WR55x10552 if you need to replace it let me know
