Access to clean coils on kscs25inss00

I have a side by side KitchenAid Superba counter depth fridge.
I cleaned the coils from the front and back of the fridge but I cannot access the coils in the middle that are loaded with dust.
How do you clean the coils?

You need to get a bottle brush they are about 18" long maybe longer and made for getting into these area's to clean the coils. My frig is set up the same way and hate it. Cause when they are that dirty cause's so many things to happen all bad. I have used my air compressor to blow them clean and then chase little dust bunnies around the kitchen. I have been thinking about this same problem for awhile now and bottle brush is the best option for now that I have heard of. ken

Sandy D. you have a ptc relay on the compressor when they go out they make a clicking noise. The compressor will quit and little bit later might try to come back on and click again. You need a new ptc relay. It is on the compressor little black box just unplug your refrigerator and pull the relay off. undo the wires and get a new one. Kinda staight forward compressor has 3 prongs that the relay plugs into.

Thanks for your help. We opened the black box ptc relay that was fine. Then my husband opened the white box called start dev. that was burnt out. we replaced that white start dev our fridge is cooling now and making ice too. At first, we didn't know what to do? With your help we reached to the part that was burnt out.

This site is very helpful.

Thankyou,

SandyD.

Kitchenaid superba frig.past 2 days high pitched over temp light alarm goes off every few hrs in between reset we cleaned coils temp in freezer seems fine but frig is not please help

May be frozen up or plugged up. Remove all food. Unplug it and open the doors. Leave for 24 hrs. Clean up any water. Clean out the tray underneath. Usually access from the front if you can pop off the trim panel under the doors. Pull it out. Remove the back. Inspect for large amount of debris. Check any cooling fins etc. use a vacuum with a hose to clean it all out. Plug it back in and try it.

I have a Kitchenaid S x S KSCS25INSS00 refrig/freezer. We lost power for 30 hours, it worked fine before the outage, now it won't cool the fridge below 48 degrees, or the freezer below 43 degrees. ...

Try replacing the circulating fan first. If it's not turning, it's more than likely bad. However, the fan might not be your only problem. The problem may lie with the icemaker. The icemaker is essentially the brain of the unit. It tells when to cool, when to defrost and when to maintain temp. Your icemaker may be stuck in defrost mode.

The drip pan that sits under the freezer side of our Kitchenaid Superba side by side refrigerator is full of nasty looking black water that I wanted to clean out but I can't figure out how to get it out of...

well to take that out ? which isn't normal part of it the drip pan catches water from the fridge / freezer and is caught in the pan while the evaporator generates heat to dry the pan out!! so if you really must remove it then you have to remove the wire in front of it to get it out other wise you just unplug it and reach in there with a brush to clean it

Frig not stayng cool. Freezer not freezing

most fridges have a evaporator dish or container.
it must be emptied ...and cleaned and disinfected.

now-a -days they are usually mated with the compressor and cool this unit down. notice there is no coil along the back of the fridge...it is usiually behind the fridge at the bottom with a cardboard or plastic access cover...
this will make the unit cool better and return the cooling to normal....
\next
clean out your freezer...i bet it's full of 4 month old packs of something you'll never eat....this will let the freezer breathe and circulate air to the coil ...i bet it has 3 in of ice on it...yikes...your not alone...most people do this...\
get a freezer if your getting ready for the apocalypse and liberate some room.
good luck
