SOURCE: how do you do the timing on a victa lawnkeeper? I

The curent victa 2-stroke engine(power torque) does not have adjustable timing. All you do is set the air gap between the coil & flywheel and its set. The simplicity of modern electronics has done with points etc

The previous Victa 2 stroke engines sometimes had points which is located under the flywheel - on these you need to first set the points gap. Now the actual timing is 1/8 inch BTDC. The coil & points are on an adjustable frame ( plate or whatever you call it) which is secured by 2 bolts ( 7/16" headsize size from memory) - loosen these 2 bolts and you should be able to rotate the assembly about 1/2 ".as it has elongated boltholes. Rotate the motor (clockwise looking down) so the piston is 1/8" BTDC if its correctly timed the points should just be opening. Move the coil/points assembly ( & tigten the 2 bolts each time) till you get it right, In practice the timing does not need to checked - if it ran OK before then if you need to disassemble ,mark the coil/points plate & engine body so you dont change the timing

SOURCE: Change engine oil

Check underneath the mower at the bottom of the engine's crankcase and see if there is a possible plug of any type there. Be sure you lift the mower the correct way when tipping , typically with the control handles going down towards ground...not on its side.

Testimonial: "The lawnkeeper model doesnt seemed to have a drainage plug at the model as one would expect. I was advised by the manufacturer to tilt the mower to one side to drain the old oil!"

I own an old Victa LawnKeeper that has a Tecumseh four stroke motor. What spark plug suits it? There is nothing on the motor itself and the plug is gone! Does anyone know?

most any mower spark plug will fit
all you have to be aware of is the thread length
you can measure it with a bit of bent wire from inside the head to the plug seat and any plug with that length will fit

I own a victa 35 classic lawnkeeper. I tried to start it for few days now but it is hard start. As I don't know much on small engine, can you tell me if I had to refill engine oil or replace engine oil...

Yes you need to change oil on lawnmowers at least once a year. I would check three things. Compression, spark and fuel to carb. You can purchase a compression tester and spark tester at any local auto parts store. Check these first, if compression and spark are good you know your problem is carburetor/fuel related. I hope this helps.

The engine on my Sprint 375 floods when trying to start

Check the float in the carb. bowl for gumming and clean your carb.. If you haven't done so already. Or you can try running a fuel treatment through your fuel. That may help you with your flooding issues. Good luck.
