Display problem in MS office graphics on Asus AMD board

I have installed an AMD board procesor M2N68-AM. I installed MS office XP SP2 and MS word 2003. When I open any word or excel file which contains graphics or sort of that (even tag of comment in excel, drawing inserted in word, or picture pasted on word, etc) that part (in a row) gets grabbled and does not displays properly. There was no such problem when the graphic driver (Nvidia) was not installed.

I have reloaded the programs, changed hard disk and RAM also, but the problem is t he same.
I anyone can help please.

Graphic card problem

Sure you can upgrade and put a new graphics card in one of the pci slots.

Try Tiger Direct for graphics cards at:

http://www.tigerdirect.com

When the site comes up just put in Video Graphics Card in the search box and press GO. You can sort the list Price Low to High.

Dear mariolama

It can be due to error in any newly installed hardware or software.
Most probably due to RAM. Check your RAM is perfect or not in other system. Or clean it and restart the system and check.

You need the latest display driver for your graphics card.

Click here to download the drivers off the Nvidia website.

Enter the information in the fields as shown below;

Product Type: Geforce
Product Series: Geforce 8 Series
Product: 8400GS
Operating System: Select the operating system you are using. XP or 7 whichever it is.
Language: Choose your Language, English

Then click search and download and install the driver.

This should solve your problem!

Do do recommend sticking with XP as your current computer system will find it difficult to run Windows 7.

All the Best!

Hi. This is usually an indication of overheating. Make sure the fan on the graphics card is not blocked. Clean out any dust in your system and ensure adequate air flow across the CPU and the graphics card.

Try to remove the battery from the MB, and next time you try to install WIN XP, when you are asked how to format your drive, chose quick NTFS formatting; disable floppy drive in BIOS, because it might try to boot from it (and I suppose you don't have one), and in boot sequence (BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY) set cd-dvd as first, and HDD as second, and turn off any other device as bootable
