You have confused your system video/monitor setting.
Right click desktop
Select Display settings /screen resolution depending on your OS
check that both the
monitor settings are correct (Do not set too high!)
graphic card is correctly identified.

First of all disconnect the power & unplug the video cable from the back of the CPU & Monitor. Power-on the monitor & wait 10 secs. If the Monitor is functioning correctly, a 'No Signal' message appears & sometimes keeps bouncing around like a screen saver motion. This means your monitor is OK, if no signal message is not showing then either backlight or inverter(power) input has gone KAPUT. Replacing either or both may not turn out to be a cost effective soln. However if the damage is only in the cable then simply replace it or use the HDMI port..........................Sodeep63

Compaq C700 laptop screen shows horizontal lines and the screen seems to be split into several sections

The LCD screen is faulty and will need to be replaced, go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model refine search to screen, first! hook a spare monitor to the video output usually on the back, if picture okay! the above mentioned needs to be changed, but! if both show the same symptom it is the video graphics card that is part of the motherboard.

Power on problem

this is hardware problem - replace flyback transformer & big transisitor fixed near flyback (replacing these two parts is compulsory ) - also check all small size transistors ( 6 to 10 transistors will be there on main board - see picture ) - below shown picture is only to get an idea as how these parts looks like & roughly where they are situated on main board ... that means this picture is not that of your monitor's main board - in your monitor there will slight difference & also that bigsize transistor's number will be different ....... for more details about flyback transformer check this link http://www.fixya.com/support/t10123898-panasonic_ct_36hl43g_tv_just_turned

I want the pictures of VGA CABLE of Samsung Sync Master 798 MB plus

Hey,
All VGA cables going to a CPU are essentially the same. Although, you may come across two types of cables. Picture 1 shows male-to-male connections. One end goes to the monitor and the other one to the CPU. The 2nd picture shows a male-to-male connector. It's always male-to-male connectors. However, you may use a male-to-female connector if you want to extend the existing VGA cable. Before buying it, just check what type of connection your CPU and monitor have at the back, for safety sakes.

Flickering,shattering and small display size

hit your MONITOR lightly on left side or right side or on top & then observe ..........you will get normal picture or it comes & again it goes....if it is happening like that then following is the situation..........after 4 or 5 yrs in some monitors on main board ( also on CRT circuit board ) at some soldering joints crack develops....then due to loose contact picture becomes small in size or abnormal width, etc ...........when we hit that lightly then those loose contacts joins temporarly & again picture appears for some time............so solution is ......monitor main board & CRT circuit board should be observed carefully & most of the joints should be re-soldered.......only a good service engineer can do that........even after hitting monitor lightly if there is no response then main board has to be checked completely........in your case iam sure it is loose connection problem.........joints should be re - soldered ...100% it works again ................this problem cannot be solved by user unless user has idea about components( resisitors, transisitors, diodes,...etc) , have soldering iron , multimeter & other tools....................so contact good monitor service engineer .............iam from bangalore - 09986222774 - sathyavijayasarathibabu@ymail.com ( computers, laptop, printers, etc )..............

My monitor show picture but after seconds it

You will need to test the resistance reading of the transformer widings, transformers driving IC/TRANSISTORS, you may have bad lamp assemlies also but that will be harder to test without lamp tester. No bulging tops at all? Cap can look OK but can have high ESR.

Look in the power supply section first for bad caps, post back what you find inside, pictures will help a lot to guide you through, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
