TS-570 shuts down

My TS-570 has developed a shut-down problem recently. It doesn't shut down when I reduce the output "setting" to around 75 watts ... but then the output is down by about half. Do you know what might be causing these problems?

SOUNDS LIKE LOW POWER CAPACITY OF POWER SUPPLY. MANY NEW RADIOS WILL POWER OFF IF THE POWER SUPPLY SAGS AT TX. BY REDUCING THE POWER OUTPUT YOU REDUCE POWER DRAW AND DOES NOT SHUT DOWN. CHECK CONNECTIONS ON POWER INPUT OR TRY A LARGER OR DIFFERENT POWER SUPPLY. ALSO CHECK SWR SHUTDOWN.. GOOD LUCK. KB9JNO

i forgot to say, also check the fuse holders in the power cord. if the wire connections to the fuse holders are crimped, solder mthem and then be sure the fuses are tight in the holder. I have seen this problem several times on 2 meter rigs also. You may have to get a new power cord or replace the fuse holders with bettere ones. somtimes when the wires are stripped to put the fuse holders on several wires are stripped off thus cutting down the current capability of the cable. 73's and good luck.

Powerhorse 4000 generator only has 110v output

to get that voltage , it would have to be revving very high
volts on a gen set are set by engine rpms
start it again ad keep manual control of the governor lever and adjust the speed screw ( controls the spring tension to the gov lever) to the 240 v output
a straight ac gen set is a pure sine wave --it is the inverter sets that have a squared of sine wave

I have a dell inspiron 570 desktop and instead of going to sleep it shuts completely down. I was told it is hybernating so how do I disable the hybernation so all it does is go to sleep until I shut it...

Start>control panel>power > find the settings for sleep/hibernation/screen saver
Also, check all your settings at the screen saver level by right-clicking the desktop. There can be some funky stuff set in here.

I have a C2001-WK that does not auto shut off

A regulator controls the pressure in the air line leaving the compressor and does not affect when the compressor turns on or off.

The pressure switch monitors the pressure in the tank and turns the compressor motor on and off when the switch closes or opens in response to changes in the tank pressure. If the compressor does not shut off, it is possible the pressure switch has been set to a pressure level that is higher than the compressor is capable of attaining, thus it does not shut off.

The compressor is capable of developing 150 psi and is noted as having a "120 psi cut-in pressure". When you say it doesn't shut off, does that mean it will generate 150 psi or more of pressure and fails to shut off or it develops less than 150 psi and does not shut off.

If the compressor does not generate 150 psi, then it is probably somewhat worn out and not capable of developing enough pressure to meet the factory high pressure limit. I would try adjusting the pressure switch upper pressure limit down to 130 psi or less (less if the compressor will not develop 130 psi) and see if this solves your problem If it doesn't,

If the compressor will develop 150 psi or more, then try adjusting the high pressure limit to less than 150 psi. If you can't adjust the high pressure limit then the pressure switch is defective and needs to be replaced.

I have the VSX-D711 receiver and recently added a new DVD player and re-ran the speaker wires. Since this change I have developed a new problem, after about an hour the receiver shuts down.

The problem sounds like the amplifier shutting down in protect mode. This can be due to a shorted speaker cable, or even a speaker that may be run out of phase, or too much load on one channel of the amplifier.
First check and make sure there are no cables that may be exposed and rubbing against each other. That will cause a short.
Secondly try re running and testing each speaker line as you go individually. While you are rehooking the cables up, make sure that you + and - are in the correct terminals on the speaker and the receiver's speaker outputs. Also make sure you are not running more of a load on the receiver than it can handle such as running multiple speakers on the same output. This will cause the amp to shut down. Only run a load (8ohm, 4 ohm etc..) that the receiver speaker output can handle Two 8 ohm speakers make a 4 ohm load thus making it harder for the receiver to work, and then it overheats and shuts down. Good Luck

I havd a Dell Dimension 8200 that sometimes shuts down and power light turns yellow. I can usally open case and plug and on plug to get it to power back up. Recently replaced fans due to fan failure....

Thank for the detail, it really helps...
Most people forget about the power supply. If the power supply overheats, it will shutdown. When shutdown, it will cool off then operate again.

A power supply goes by WATT ratings, the average size power supply is now 450 watts for an average system and should cost around $60.

good luck and don't forget to vote.

Fridge compartment freezing

First of all switch off the fridge and allow all the frost to clear off Then reduce the settings on the thermostat and switch on the fridge. If the fault stays then check if the compressor is shutting off , if not your thermostat can be faulty. Also if the timer is not working then frost can build up and reduce cooling. so check this out before you confirm. Repeat the shut down when the frost develops and do your settings/corrections before switch on. Only then you can confirm on the fault. Hope you try this out. Good day

I have a eu3000 overload safety shuts it down at about 1100 watts

Can you verify the amp draw on the output? This gen should handle 25 amps continuous. I wonder if you actually have a bit more that 9 amps? It would be nice to check the frequency and volts too...A Fluke multi-meter can read these values.
