Miele descaling problems DG155

Question edited for clarity, spelling and 'make model (what it is)'.

Disconnect it from the mains supply for an hour. If that doesn't work, disconnect it overnight. The idea is to reset the control board.

There are instructions here on Fixya on how to enter the programming mode and Reset on a Miele 4082 Steam Oven. Worth a try.

Press and hold the timer button (the bell picture), and whilst doing that press and hold the power button. Then let go of both at the same time. Then press the timer button 5 more times, but on the fifth time hold for a few seconds. Once in Programming mode play with the options to reset and restart descaling.

Mine did the same thing. Unfortunately, I had to get Miele out to reprogram it. They said it was a "software" glitch and Miele are the only ones with the electronic program to access the software to fix it.

SOLVED Feb 2021 - Recently had same problem with the 1st descale I've ever done on our 5461 BP oven (only really recently started using steam function & find it excellent). Although tried to reset oven, could not find suitable Web instructions for oven with control knobs so after hour or so, gave up.
THEN solved the problem by switching from MoisturePlus setting to any another, then back to MP which prompted oven to do another descale op (lost track of what it was doing as had to do it a couple times with water then couple without (could hear pump) and it finally went on to next stage. Then dehydrated itself so all now back to normal and ready to bake.
Figure it thought that it was too clogged up so wanted many flushes to cleanse itself.

GO TO SERVICE MODE. TURN OVEN OFF OPEN DOOR MOVE KNOWB COUNTER CLOCK WISE TO DEFROST PUSH TEMP BUTTON 3 TIMES PUSH + BUTTON TILL YOU REACH 67 CLOSE DOOR AND WAIT FIVE MINUTES VOILA......

o O means that the unit needs to be descaled. See your owners manual for the procedure. If the unit displays O - - o, the safety lock has been activated. Again, see your owner's manual.

yiou have to enter in service mode. ' 1- turn oven to off position 2- open door 3- turn knob counter clock wise to defrost position 4- push 3 times tempeture button until #02 appears on screen 5- with the + button go to 67 6- close door and wait 5 minutes until it resets by itself. enjoy your oven once again.

Put the tablet into the steam generator with about 1ltr of cold water, select the cleaning cycle on your oven. let it go through the cycle.
