its that darn coffee you put ith the baking soda causing the smell, wash it out again only this time only use the baking soda by itself,,, NO COFFEE!
and leave the door open for it to dry out, that should sort out the smell,,,,why did you use coffee with baking soda???? it causes it to smell bad?

Hi, after reading you're problem, and the 1st solution, yes this pan sometimes can get really bad, but you said the fluid had no smell. That would not be the problem then. If you smell it when the fan comes on and it comes from under the unit, you will need help in pulling it out, to see what may be under there? On the back bottom, there should be a fiber panel that can be removed, unplug 1st, and there will be a small condenser coil and fan, also the compressor. Maybe there is something on this coil you can clean off. Be gentle with it as you can restrict the air flow if you mash down the coil fins. Smell and look very good and you should find the smell. Did it smell before the soda was spilled? I doubt if this is the problem. You will find it, just look behind it. It could also be a component failing. Please keep me informed, Sincerely,

I was watching tv the other day and they said if you want to get rid of awlful smelly smells use newspaper. Put newspaper in the frig and close the door. Let set for like two days and repeat. The newspaper will absorb the smell somehow because of the chemicals it has. It works great with pickle jars. no kidding.

Most likely some raw meat juice leaked into a spot you can not see or get to. The defrost heater area and / or the defrost drain are the most likely suspects. If you can diss-assemble enough to get to these to clean, you stand a good chance of conquering your odor problem. Additionally, there is one odor absorber that has worked rather well for me, but I don't remember the exact name,.... but I'll post it in an additional comment tomorrow.

I believe that you might have a coolant leak causing the chemical odor. You really should get it checked out by a fridge repair-person because it's not healthy to breathe in the fumes.
